Are the sockets stamped with the size?
They've been dual marked in this set for a couple years at least. Some of the smaller "combined" kits are only stamped though.
I just received mine and yes dual marked and usa. I found the chrome to be fine. I had a few missing sockets and some doubles. As well as a 15mm not etched or stamped. Called and they are sending me the replacements. I am happy.
Got mine today as well! They all appear to be dual marked and USA-made. Part of my box was damaged, but I don't think anything fell out. I'll have to go through it here in a couple of days...
Didn't go on sale.
going to buy this for the sockets anyways.....

Purchased these this weekend as well. The extra 30,000 in surprise points did the trick. Also purchased the FoamFit Tools in black/red to put in my 56" HF cab.

I am having them configure one with foam that is a little larger (so it fits exactly in the 56" drawer) and also holds my universal joints and extensions. Don't know cost yet.

please post pics here when you get it all set up!![]()

Can someone share their Sear's order number with the $299 price paid over the weekend? They are giving me the run-around on their price protection policy.

Yeah takes about a week to be delivered after you call them up with missing/damaged onesPicked up a set as well at $299. Used up my bonus points as well.
Just arrived via UPS and the box was crushed and open on the corner. Box is clearly not up to the task. A few loose sockets in the box along with various bagged sets.
I called the Apex group phone # on the box insert. Very polite and said sort them when I can and call back with my list. Missing items will be shipped at no charge.
Great deal.

You guys are awesome. I would have loved to jump on this, but it's been an expensive month to say the least. How about posting some pics so I can drool? Please.
Maybe next time they're priced down to $299.99 I'll bite.

Well, I ordered a few days ago and I got completely boned. I haven't even bothered to count this up yet, but it looks like maybe half of the supposed 299 arrived in this box? If that. Very disappointed and once again Sears' crappy packing strikes again. I'll be calling them in a moment.

If memory serves me correct, I think there was 5 bags (possibly 6).

Man that ***** big donkey dong.
My set only has one missing socket and one that was not etched. Can you just get that fixed at the store or must you call them and have them shipped? Thanks.
Man that ***** big donkey dong. 6 bags here, otherwise packaged the same as yours.

Should you have any questions about the tools you've just purchased, please call our toll-free Customer Service number Same, Anyone have a screen shot showing the $299 price? Sears gave me a line of BS about the price changing frequently....
Would be appreciated, since it might save me about $50. Thanks!

Turns out I got 149 out of 299 sockets. The box was flimsy with no packing material and the packing tape busted open at the top. Someone along the way either reached in and helped themselves or they simply fell out.
I called the primary Sears.com customer service number (1-800-697-3277) because I don't think Apex should be on the hook for a goof this big. Sears packing is so poor that the blame is entirely on them. I've spent a lot on tools through Sears in the last few years so I've seen the pattern and I'm sure this is why half the sockets in my order were missing.
It was easy and quick to get through to a rep, but they are clearly not US based (India?) and so communication is difficult and Sears has a complicated process for fixing this. Not to mention how time consuming this was (40 minutes?). I'm sure a lot of this is due to me having to have the rep explain things back clearly to me in a way that I understood I wouldn't be taking a loss on this.
Yes, they are going to ship me a new set. However, they are going to require me to return the incomplete set to a store (why not a UPS return label?) and for the new set they are going to charge me the full price, credit back the difference between the full price and the sale price, credit separately my SWY points, and I'm going to have to wait for the store to process my return.
This is among the most customer unfriendly online experiences one can have and Sears could learn alot about customer service in the online age, especially when Amazon will credit you back returns as soon as the box is turned in at a UPS store.
What a needless hassle and I sure hope the new set is complete or I'm going to tell Amex to nuke this whole transaction.

Don't expect this to go smoothly or flawlessly. In fact, I would just about bet you're out the deal.
