Yes, everyday, and I think most folks I know do!
My grandfather was a London policeman for many years, and he wouldn’t go out without his First World War vintage jack knife any more than he’d go out without his trousers!
I have a selection of popular ones that tend to get rotated according to needs! Even in the hot weather when I’m not wearing a coat I’ll usually have at least a slim but full sized Victorinox in my trouser pocket. If I’ve got a coat I’ll usually carry a bigger Swiss Army Knife there, as well as a substantial English or German single blade!
If I’m doing something mucky I just carry an inexpensive British army jack knife. They’re quite tough but the better ones have nicely ground blades and take a good edge!
I used to work as a Flying instructor and a decent knife really was essential. That was back when Leatherman tools and suchlike were just appearing, but I used to be amazed how many students had the latest massive Leatherman... but then left it in their flight bags in the clubroom! A simple knife with a sharp main blade and screwdrivers, that you have with you, is far more useful than the biggest multitool that you don’t!
