First coat is finally finished. With current humidity levels it may take it a month to dry sufficiently to sand.

Nothing picture worthy today but we did finish the plumbing connections. Now the sink and spigot on the front porch are functional.

Today was another milestone day for me. I moved the last piece of equipment from the garage to the shop. I had been dreading the parts washer move. It went well, no messes or accidents.

Today I hung all of my license plates and a banner I bought shortly after starting the shop. One day I will get back to finishing the office.

I also aired out my tent today. I haven’t used it since I started the shop. Hopefully this fall I will get some camping in before it gets too cold.

The Bat Mower was delivered yesterday. I used it today for the first time. My cut time went from 90 mins to 45 mins. I think after I get used to the new controls I can get the job done in 30 mins.
Nice looking addition! It sure makes it more enjoyable when it's not most of an afternoon to get done! The yard I grew up mowing was 4 hours with an 80's vintage 300 series Deere and 48" deck, was just over 2 hours after it got upgraded to a Deere zero turn with a 54" deck and is now a shade over an hour with a bigger diesel Grasshopper...so cutting that yard from 90 to 30 minutes seems very reasonable!
Heads up.....you'll probably find a few spots that aren't as smooth now that you're running 6 or 7 mph...so guessing some "smoothing" gets added to the fall project list!

You are correct about needing some smoothing out. I was already aware of some areas with the lawn tractor.
The zero turn at full speed helped me find the spots in my current yard that needed more work then others....still have a couple spots that need another round of fill in this fall!

I spent some quality time with the 68’ today. I bought new tires for it about a week ago. While the wheels were off I decided to clean and wax them. The Krylon I used 19 years ago is starting to fade 
It was also time for front brakes and wheel bearing repack. Then I started working on the heater core replacement I have been procrastinating on since the end of winter.

Well fella’s, this week has been a mixed bag of blessings.
First the good news. I hired my daughter and SIL to install the leftover copper material underneath the front porch roof. It turned out pretty nice. I also have some blue materials leftover, so eventually I want to trim out the remaining areas under the porch with it. Maybe this will help keep the carpenter bees at bay next spring.
Now for the not so good news. I learned this week, that in the not too distant future (maybe 5 years max) there will be an overpass built behind my property, that may or may not encompass my shop. Even if the shop stays, I don’t want to live next to an overpass. I’m not certain about what happens next. There is still much to be discovered and discussed.

Captain this project has been ongoing for a couple of decades. There were at least 5 different routes being considered on this side of the county. I knew some came near my neighborhood but I didn’t know any of them came through the neighborhood. This plan will essentially cut the subdivision in half.

Saturday I listed the 68’ on Craigslist 
Sadly it’s time to let someone else enjoy the ol’ truck. I will miss it, that’s for certain.
Sunday I introduced the newest member of the gang to the rest of the crew. She even got to ride the lift.

I started a new project in the shop this weekend. Ever since I completed the wall for the office/mezzanine, I have wanted to build a small roof section using leftover materials. I began the framing yesterday and finished the it this evening. Next I will install copper metal for the roof. The end of it will get either red or blue metal. The 
thinks it should be red but I’m leaning towards blue. Any opinions fellas?

Nice work at making use of the extra materials in creative ways. The copper under the porch looks great! I also think blue would be good in the shop awning. That will make a great transition into that area.
