So here's a good one. Did the online order for the bora clamp. Had time so just decided to head to lowes before email said it was ready. As I pulled up to store got the voicemail that it was a nonstock item and they were canceling the order. Walked into tool dept and and do I see? My edge clamp. Pick it up. Ask girl there to price check it and it says 4.50. Thank you lowes

Lazy clerks not wanting to get off their *** and pull the item. Been there done that several times.

Went to look for some more Bessy stuff, but the two stores I stopped at were cleaned out. One still had a stack of 6" vises for $5x.**
Saw a few other things though (didn't buy):
Wiss 3pc 1-1/2 snips, Item 298116 Was $34.98, now $17.49
Kobalt 500 lumen flashlight, Item 356000 Was $59.99, now $23.99
Utilitech 70 lumen flastlight, Item 242997 was $14.97, now $3.74 (I did buy one, it's alright. Nicer button than the HF ones and a bit whiter light instead of bluish)

Work had me going by a store I'm not normally near. So I stopped in and finally found the SAE socket tray (393408) that I've been looking for to match my metric one. $3.49

Also snagged a Bora 50" edge clamp (352335) for $17. Not as good as what has been quoted earlier in this thread but I legitimately need one and that's a good price off from normal retail. I'll keep my eye out at other stores for a lower price and try to get a credit if I see one.

They also had a whole bunch of Bessey stuff left but I'm stocked up for life now so I left them behind.

Just picked up a stubby Kobalt flat head screwdriver for $1.40 and a 2-pack of Kobalt vise grips for $4.98. The Irwim clamp bars are BOGO free but need to go back today with more $$.

The guy working in tools told me that they can't sell the display vises because they have to send them back to bessey. He didn't have an answer when I pointed to the spot where the 4.5 inch one used to be and asked what happened to that one.

Lowes near me has price tags stuck on the displays that are left and when I was in there the other day talking to the manager he said I should take the display 4.5'' but I told him I only could spend so much in one day.

Might go back tomorrow and get it :3gears:

The Bora 50" clamps....

Two days ago no store in my area had any accept one store and they were 8.00 and I bought the last two, just checked again and another local store now says they have nine and they are 29.98. Last night they had none.

So if you still want some I guess keep checking, the store I bought from last night now has 8 for 8.00 a piece.

They will sell you the display. I got in on this way late but still got the hobby/craft suction base display vice for $2.60 and the last 5 wooden hand screw clamps for $3.08 a piece. No one bought the hand screw clamps because they were marked $19.99 piece still on the peg, and I guess no one bothered to price check them. Thanks

That is bull as I pulled the displays as I bought the others. I guess every store has a different story.

+1, I'd respect it if the employees told me they don't want to sell the display, because of possible damage, etc....However I've notice over the years different, employees at the same store, will help you (find back stock, sell display, etc) and some just tell you no...

I'd suggest asking a manager.

Tool dept manager was loading a cart full of bessey products at 0630 this morning. I look at his pool sheet and it said " pull for trash". I went and got my own shopping cart and loaded up. 24 & 36" clamps for $1.50. 4" vise for $4.50. F-clamps for $1.00. Needless to say my shopping cart was overloaded and it only cost me $48.

My Lowe's still has plenty of Bessy stuff, no really cheap stuff but it's at an ok price. I just got the 4.5" home vise for $10. From what I've seen, no one around here has really picked through it for at least two weeks.

Anyone in Atlanta area I was in three stores today. All had various amounts of bessey and bora clamp. A lot of it was untagged and the tool. Guy just had it ring up as 1.00

Some stores have the bora clamps for 8.08 still. I bought two and guy behind me grabbed eight. Dunno how he needs eight, but hey.

I got one of the 33 piece ratchet driver sets (338530) on clearance for $11.97 down from about $30. It's made almost like the newer Snap On comfort handle ratcheting screwdrivers, with the different removable shafts. I am sure it is not of the caliber of the Snap On, but for the price, it is a very good value.

I got 3 of the machinist vises, 3 of the tabletop vacuum base pivot vises, 2 of the 10 piece plier assortments, 2 of the 4' k body clamps, 3 other 3' and 4' clamps and a few other items - all for $56. Pretty good score.

I opened up one of the BOGO wrench boxes at a store today to have a look and they're pretty craptacular.

This Harbor Freight set (less a 25% coupon) would be a better value. Similar quality, two more wrenches, a few less bucks.

For the $15 I spent I'm pretty happy with them. I was looking to use a wrench roll in my junkyard kit so when that BOGO came up I pulled the trigger. I wasn't expecting much after reading your comment, but when I got them they don't look too bad at all. Besides, if anything happens to one can't I just swap out the broken Chinese one for a new Taiwanese one :dunno::lol_hitti

Also used a BOGO for this pair the other day. For $20 I got the socket set for a buddy who just recently bought a Honda dual-sport and the free multi-tools will be distributed throughout my own bags/vehicles

The hard handle ones (global components) are real nice. Definitely worth the clearance price in my opinion.

Those chinese ones don't look so hot though but some of them are in the buck range. Probably okay for most people if you want the mechanics bolster for your drivers (doesn't really matter to me, rarely use screwdrivers anyway). Though harbor freight has a set with thru-bolsters for 12 bucks which are probably worth it (not knowing how deep the shanks go on the kobalt ones).

I got a bessey corner clamp for around 3.50 and a drill press vice (4"?) for 7 bucks. Good deal for me, have been looking for a decent general purpose vice, this should work out well.

What stores were you in? I've been to woodstock, acworth, marietta and austell in the past week and all were pretty much cleaned out.

Is the BOGO wrenches still on? Don't see any reference of it on the site.

Last time I looked it was not working anymore. The site never said anything about it. Just a weird thing where you add a certain set of wrenches and the other set gets added for free automatically.

Checked Joplin, MO SW Lowes this AM. Bessy K and F Clam racks bare. I circled around to the side of the store, but the only dumpster to be seen was clamp free...

One store is now 100% out of Bessey and stocked with Irwin.

The other store still has the Bessey only a few bucks off. Very strange.

The deal was in the 'Show All Promotions' web page.

Several of the other deals were in the weekly ad, but the layout didn't draw much attention to them.

The Blue Hawk BOGO wrench set promotion is still active -- by the set of 10 SAE wrenches get the metric set for free. 20 wrenches for $10 is a good deal, but they aren't anything special. Blue Hawk has pretty much no warranty ,and the wrenches have chrome plating on as-forged or ground surfaces.
