$23.81 with free shipping.

I think that's about the same price as someone buying them at a Meanrd's and shipping to you via Priority Mail.

Thanks, just got it. I wonder why one seller it so cheap.

I thought I had the only gear wrench versions I really needed but with these cheap Menards deals I added box end and standard stubbies. I already had flex stubbies, s shape, standard wrenches. I need to stop the madness.

I did an online order for in store pickup Saturday. When I got there Sunday, I only got about 65% of what I ordered. I'm trying to make up a couple of sets of SAE and a set of metric NON-Ratcheting stubbies for my son and step daughter's boyfriend for Christmas. I need a 3/4", a couple of 5/8", a couple of 7/16", and a 17mm.

I have an 18mm, a 16mm, a 13mm, a 12mm, and a 10mm (all NON-Ratcheting stubbies) to trade. anyone interested in a swap?

I also have a couple of the SAE socket adapters I would like to trade for metric.

I went Thursday night the 11th (before this thread even started) because I needed some tools to finish a job, and my local store was already picked over, but even with the tools I purchased I couldn't BELIEVE the freakin' prices.

My biggest concern is why the cheap prices on MasterForce? I hope to God they're not phasing them out because they are made in USA and actually honor their lifetime warranty.

Couldn't get out till this morning. It's official all the stores in Northern IL have been picked clean. That said I need a 9/16 non ratcheting stubby to complete my set. Also seeking a 12 piece metric non ratcheting X beam set. Can anyone help me? Cash and gratitude awaits. Please pm me. Thanks!

Menards has the option upon ordering to have an employee pull the item for $1.40 per item. 4 different wrenches = $5.60. 4 of the same wrench = $1.40.
Plus you can check store inventory for any store. I got what I wanted from 6 stores within 50 miles. Pretty slick, better than Homeless Depot

That $1.40 charge is what got me a GearWrench® 6 Piece mm Double Box Ratcheting Wrench Set. I bet if I had asked in the store they'd have just said it was an inventory mistake. Online it said they had one in stock. But while in the store I couldn't find one at all.

Either way the Menards store is owning up to it(at least it seems as of now) and has it on backorder for me.

I hope it works out for you, when I went to pick up my order the paperwork showed a bunch of it back ordered. They must have waited several hours to go get it off the shelf. When I asked about it in the store they said they would wait about a week to see if any of the items showed up out of place, then refund my money for the missing items. Didn't get a full set of anything, but I sure paid for several. The pick charge was a complete waste of money. They did say I could return the partial sets once we get everything settled up.

I was able to go in the store and grab off the shelf more tools only to find out my pick up order was incomplete, some of what I ordered was in my shopping cart. Overall great deals on great tools.

This happened to me too. stuff they didn't have to complete my order I was refunded right there. If the inventory says 2, chances are there's only 1.

I went to the other Menards in my city last night, the prices between the stores were really off. No gearwrench sets available but still had a ton of the individual stubbys and single wrenchs--but the price was at least a buck more each than the other store.

I have the 10-piece SAE stubby set as well as 7-8 metric loose ones (missing 10mm for sure) if anyone wants to trade it for something as well, I have two complete 20-piece stubby sets I bought previously, so no need for it.

Marv,
My store didn't have the correct prices compared to the internet, but when scanned they matched. It might be that the store didn't change their prices yet. I verified my prices on the scanner nearby before going to the checkout line.

Yeah, I don't know what the internet prices are, never checked. I'm was just going by what I paid at the store across town. They did have some good looking gearwrench wrenchs that would have shamed my craftsman raised panels to hide in a trunk toolbox. Of course those were full priced, and who pays that?

Got the phone call today from Menards that they couldn't find it. I even had to go online to get a refund because he didn't know how to do it on his end. Guess the online stock numbers aren't very accurate anymore.

He said they are getting new product lineup next month. But didn't know what brand etc.

I have to stay out of this store lol. Went to the other Menards today and picked up four or five wrenchs, a few spare sockets, an impact shallow socket set, and some gear wrench speed ratchet things all for 13 bucks. All the other gearwrench stuff is indeed off the sale.

I picked up the DBE wrench set for $5 too.

Makes you wonder if the Apex Plant closures are driving the clearance.

I didnt hear about that plant closing. Sad times. The only thing you can really do is avoid buying more of the Chinese stuff. Soon all we will be able to acquire US made is the premium brands.

Why would plant closures be driving clearance? Only gear wrench which is made offshore and a pretty small portion of Masterforce and allen was affected and if the allen products I purchased during this event are indicative of the kind of quality the company strive for then I have no idea. The Allen rats I got are about the roughest things I have ever seen and the Allen ratcheting box ends have sharp edges all over them.

It was better on Saturday. The website is great as you can check inventory at other stores. East side store doesn't even carry Gearwrench. Too small of store.
