Good call. I have seen several plomb 4 ways but no Proto la.Jabber- Wow! You ****! Are the wrenches marked LA?
Stormking- That is so rad! I’ve never seen a Proto 4 way before
This set is intriguing because it the wrench roll is Proto la and the combos are marked mfd. I have no doubt this probably left the factory that way.No but they are unused

Thanks! It’s not a going to win any beauty pageants with its missing parts but it’s so uncommon I am glad to have it! I know of one local that was heavily damaged and overpriced and have seen a few others listed for sale out of state but nothing local! I would love to find some replacement parts to complete it one dayCongrats, as we know a hard box to find in any condition, especially at that price.
Thank you sir! I kept refreshing the ad once I found it just to see if I missed something but nope, I didn’t. I ran and grabbed it as soon as I heard back from the seller!Thats some fine rocking horse poop there mate. Nice grab
Yup, that’s what people think when I say chevron
No. S.A.E. and BS/BSF were developed for the same reason, as a finer thread count alternative to the coarser U.S.S./Am.Std. and Whitworth, respectively. But I don't think they're the same.Whitworth I know, is British Standard the same as SAE?
It's never simple. The dimensions across flats of these will be as in the Britool catalogue, but there are 2 standards of Whitworth.No. S.A.E. and BS/BSF were developed for the same reason, as a finer thread count alternative to the coarser U.S.S./Am.Std. and Whitworth, respectively. But I don't think they're the same.
An old Blackhawk UK export catalog says the milled and broached openings (i.e., Across-the-Flats (AF) diameter) on those W/BS combos should be 7/16, 9/16, 5/8, 3/4, and 13/16, and a Britool catalog cites the AF openings as .445, .525, .600, .710, and .820 in decimal inches.
I used to have that top style wrench whe
Pictures of said tool mobile I was referencing. Does this have a date on it? Lower left hand corner above the front caster.Picked this up today.

Thanks! It really is pretty solid and straight aside from the missing parts so hopefully in time I can find another one or a parts box to complete this one.Looks good!
Thanks. It was probably the quickest one I have cleaned in a while. I hit it with some degreaser and then hot and soapy water and plastic scrub brush. After that polished the outside and drawer faces and then quick wax. I wanted it clean so if I rubbed up against it on accident I wouldn’t get dirtyThat sure turned out looking nice!

And once again, I have no need for more screwdrivers!
