Doorbusters like that one give you a prize even if it doesn't say you won. Wait about 5 mins, log out and back in, and the points should show up in your account.

you are right! still got the $5 in points even though i didnt "win". took like 10 mins and a refresh browser. thank you sir!

Some deep discounts on Dickies work shoes:

http://www.sears.com/search=dickies...=Brand|discount&catalogId=12605&storeId=10153

examples:
Dickies Men's Rally Brown Steel Toe EH Work Shoe DW1622 $28 (reg: $80)

Dickies Men's Wraith Black Steel Toe Work Boot $30 (reg: $80)

Dickies Men's Spear 6" Soft Toe Slip Resistant Black Work Boot DW6115 $30 (reg: $75
Anyone have any experience with Dickie's shoes/boots? I'm tempted to pick up a pair of those "Rally" work shoes for general yard work and projects around the house/garage. The hiking boots I've been using for those activities are completely blown out despite not being all that old.

I have the rally brown, but only for a few weeks. They are decent especially for the money. They have aggressive tread almost like hiking shoes which I like.

These are steel toe shoes which are required for my job. If I didn't need steel toe shoes, I would pick a different pair. I've never found steel toe shoes that are "great".

For the price, I think they are worth it.

Thanks for your input. I've never had steel toed boots since I've never been required too. But I've definitely dropped heavy things on my foot, often use my foot to rest heavy things on so they don't get scratched resting them on the ground and I've also accidentally ran my foot over while pushing cars around - so figured it could be a nice benefit even if it's far from necessary.

Just picked mine up yesterday, $32 after tax. Great set for the price.

It says it in the listing but might be worth repeating, the extensions are ball/wobble ones.

Those are ~$20 on there own when on sale at Sears, & don't forget the universal joints. I wish I had bought my set a long time ago. Much more handy than the other similar Drive & Torx bit socket set they offer for the more times that not price of $29.99. Glad I sold that in my last garage sale

$29.99 first of the week. With surprise points & points from the gearwrench purchase, $4.70 shipped to the door. Guess I'll dump them in the toolbox and scrap the case; takes up a lot of space.

I was thinking the same thing while filling MY first tool chest (the Milwaukee deal). Instead of getting rid of it all, I'm going to just pop the hinge pins, and keep the bottom half. Rather have some organization, and it's more likely to fit in the drawer I want.

Black 75 foot Craftsman garden hose on sears daily deal for $24.99

Just got one of these for a gift, the hose is USA and good quality (in line with the many reviews).

This seems worth keeping an eye out for the next price drop. :rocker:

On sale for $24 with $6 off points = delivered < $20 w/tax.

The 6-piece Wera laser-tip screwdriver set is on sale for just over $30. It's not the first time I've seen it at that price, but this time I have $10 of $30 in surprise points for tools, and it still gave me free shipping, so I wound up paying $21.40, shipped, after sales tax. Not too bad.

Wera makes quite a few similar but not quite identical screwdriver sets. This is the nicest one in my opinion because in addition to the laser tips, it comes with a rack that I'll stick it to my pegboard somehow.

I've seen Wera driver sets for $24 on Amazon (but not the laser tip), and you can get this exact set for $26 at KC Tool (so I guess $23.40 with a 10% off code), but I'm pretty happy with $21.40 shipped.

Anyone else having trouble with SYWR Max? I tried these two items and I can't get anything to ship free under $30. They charged me for my membership renewal in December, but I haven't been able to get free shipping on anything less than $30 since then. Now that my local Sears is closing, I can't even do free store pickup.

I've called twice, webchatted twice, and emailed a few times and haven't gotten anywhere.

Well, ****. I guess you were the guinea pig, and now they've released the update to the rest of us. No more SYW MAX free shipping without $30 in items in the cart.

Which means I won't renew the free trial of Free Shipping with SYWR.
Rarely do I order that much when I have free suprise points to use. I'm running ôut of things to buy from tools, lawn& garden, even socks and underwear.

Now it takes a special trip to Sears to get an order and not everything is carried in the stores that I don't already have.

I've bookmarked all 4 sizes, and several other items I'm interested in. I then open a new browsing windows, and load the whole 'Sears' folder to quickly check prices. It seems when the hoses are on sale, you will end up seeing a different length hose on sale for a good period of time, then there will be a drought of good hose deals.

For reference, the 100 ft was just down to $31 last week. I've seen the 25ft for $11.99, and the 50 for $15 in the past. Also got the 50ft for $20, with a rollable $15 in points (several times in a row one day :D).

:dunno:

I think without SYWMAX sears is not worth the effort anymore.

I liked those so much I bought the metric set as well over Christmas. Just to add they are much larger than the Allen ones.

I did not even know these folding nut drivers existed. Where have I been? Just ordered the metric for my MX5 which I will drive tomorrow to go pick this up in 76 degree weather in NW GA. $10.63 OTD. Just saw this exact item on Amazon for $22.99!

Looks like all there sets are on sale. I love my diamond tipped set and use them 90% of the time. I still have my regular set as it has more sizes and I will use them for scraping stuff (I don't want to scrape off the diamond coating, I don't know how durable they are as I have only had them a couple months).

Current Prices & Links:

$19.99 - 6 Piece Set

$29.99 - 10 Piece Set

$39.99 - 14 Piece Set

$34.99 - 16 Piece Set

The 6pc is a great buy for everyday use, includes good sizes for regular / large stuff.
The 10pc, half of them are stubbies, and includes some SMALL sizes, like the #0 phillips.
The 14pc is what i have and really like. 4 Stubbies / 6 Regular / 4 Long. None of the PH0 sizes (I have dedicated small screwdriver sets for small stuff.)
The 16pc has 5 stubbies and again includes several PH0 sizes for small work.

So depending on your needs would depend on what you really want to buy, they are not all equal... Also I would recommend waiting unless you have some surprise points as usually these will have decent points backs at these same prices if you wait & watch.

I was looking to get the 16-peice, but it is listed as a 'hot buy.' So no coupons on that, but the 14-piece is not. I hate paying more for less, but after Q's & points, the 14-piece makes more sense.

The 16-piece actually has 5-stubbies, as one of them is the PH0. The other additional PH0 comes in 8" length

also appears you are more likely to have the 14-piece in stock in store if that helps buying
