Are the links in the above post working for anyone? I copied them from the actual product page, but they take me to a generic home page.
So Sears sends me this $15 off 40 email, and another one saying my free shipping has been extended. but the clincher is - "We're sorry, technical issues have prevented this coupon from loading from your email".
Fixed my link problem - go to https://www.viglink.com/opt-out/ and opt out.
Any good?

Almost out of things to buy. Got almost everything on the thread with my points. I'd like to find the 6-inch Slovakian clamp but no dice there.
Well, decided to pick one up today with my points. Got incredibly lucky, hiding at the very back of the peg was a Swiss made gem. Worth every penny of the $12 in points I spent on it. For sure check your local stock to see if any non-chinese versions are still there hiding.I bought one. Same reason, running out of things to buy, had points to burn, and was on deep discount sale.
Got it two days ago. Made in China. Haven't used it yet. It is branded a "Craftsman Professional" rather than the regular "Craftsman" like the other step drill bits in the 3-packs. Not sure if this "Craftsman Professional" is a step up from the regular Craftsman 3 piece set. The picture on the website is silver color, but the product is actually a gold color titanium coated. Looks well made and sharp.
Heck, I got it for free with points, so what the heck.
Yes, my store has had some great deals in October that has lasted into this month. The last couple years it ended in October but they keep adding stuff. Is anyone else finding massive clearouts at their local store?
I went again tonight and more stuff was marked down. None of it tagged - I had to scan everything. I got a multi-roller stand for $17 and a nice pair of Midwest crimpers for $11 - both about 50% off. These things weren't marked down when I went last week.

Nice tool, I have it. But I got it for about 30 bucks from Sears. It's gone down to half price (half off $59.99 Sears retail) a few times over the last couple years. Might be worth holding off and seeing if it goes lower. Sears has been putting soldering tools on sale a lot the last few months.
$53.40 now wasn't quick enough saw it at $30 and fired up the computer because my phone and Sears aren't friends and too late.

.Same thing happened to me over the weekend, I was going to jump in on small middle box for $40, but now it is at $70. Their pricing strategy, if there is a strategy, is roller coaster.
Went to the local Sears today. The tool department is empty, picked clean.
The also removed the entire Gladiator section in the middle of the tool department, and shifted everything around to fill in that empty space. Looks like a ghost town now. Picked clean carcass of a tool department.
Sad. Guess I'll just order online with free shipping or store pickup. The store itself is basically dead now. And the Kmart on the other end of the Mall is in final stages of store closing. This mall is basically going to die without those two anchors. There is a small Macy's that has never done well. Lots of empty space. Death of the American Mall.
Another thing that happened to me today... I returned something, and was told they only do returns now as a Gift Card. I wasn't to worried about it, because it was a $9 item and I'll used the Gift Card money anyway on something else.
Not sure if this is some new policy. I would sure hate to spend a couple hundred dollars on something, and be given a gift card if I returned it.
Anybody else return something to Sears in the last couple days?
I bought an item on line, with pickup in store. Web page said store had in stock. Didn't hear anything, so I went in the store. Store employee said they have never carried the item, and had not gotten notice from sears. com that I had ordered it. I was not angry at the employee; he was pleasant. Went home and got on chat with sears.com and said just to cancel the order. I used some of my points and paypal to pay for the item (it was a garden tool). Sears said they would cancel the order but could not credit the paypal account the amount which had in fact been paid through paypal, but would give credit on "shop your way". I don't know what is going on, but i'm not pleased about it. I'm thinking of filing a claim with paypal.
EdJack. Is your store closing?
if you charged it - and why would you not? - i'd do a chargeback to the card i they refused to do a return to the card.
