^ There were at least 5 different sizes made on those "MorgenMechanix" open-end wrenches. I have never found any information on the company.
Here is some backup on the five piece

Nothing special about this Open End Midget Ignition Wrench 3/8 15° & 80° -V-, except the kerning of the letters in "CRAFTSMAN". Couldn't be any closer together.

SigO, recently, brought home a small family of Unmarked Vlchek “DROP FORGED” 22-1/2° Angle S-Type Drop Wrenches (using as many relevant, descriptive names as possible) in quite nice condition; 77, 79, 81B & 83B.

I don't often buy stamped steel wrenches but couldn't leave this little guy behind.

IMG_7757.jpeg

You never know when you might need a 3/48ths or 5/40ths wrench and this is the only one I own!

I haven't measured the openings, but I believe they're 3/16" and 5/16".

Do those denominators make sense to anyone??

excuse me?

you sure that doesn't belong in the "oddfellows" thread?

(okay, no it doesn't because it's not adjustable.)

no, no part of that makes any sense at all. 3/48 or 5/40 ?

what? 🫐🏈🌠🧲

3 gauge UNC 48 TPI, 5 gauge UNC 40TPI.

Thank you for the clarification! I've seen some very old wrenches with sizes based on bolt threads, as opposed to head size, but nothing so modern, or so small.

I appreciate you coming out of a seven year slumber to make your first post and am wondering what else you might know!

I found a number of DOE wrenches at the flea market this morning.

/ I thought the three (3) B&S'ers may have belonged to a partial Pierce Arrow kit that I found in the same large garage close-out lot, but no dice. They are in that era when B&S started losing ground to Williams but had not yet fully conceded, begrudgingly stamping the Williams model numbers already being adopted by industry as a standard (29, 727, 725) beneath their own model numbers (1109, 1116, and 1123) they would soon have to forego on the top side of the minor jaw. I forgot to take photos of the flip side jaws, but just picture the typical alphanumerical soup of the U.S.S. Nut and Cap Screw size era.

/ The unique angle wrench (15* x 22-1/2"), bottom left, is unmarked.

/ The trio of orphans above that are a "K&B" (Kilborn & Bishop) #48, a Lakeside Forge, with their nifty Commonwealth-proud logo, either misstamped #36944 or intentionally using a 3 backwards to make a #E6944, and a wartime (that 1340 is the AISI number for manganese-carbon steel) Herbrand ignition wrench.

Plucked these out of a mess of wrenches at the flea this morning. Made by Billings & Spencer for Sears, Roebuck & Co in the pre-Craftsman era, and, for a while as an economy line into the Craftsman era. I thought I had another couple of them, and had designs on putting them in a rack, but I was thinking of ignition wrenches. Not uncommon, and I don't fancy them, in particular. Oh well. I now have a 3-pc MERIT set.

Picked up this early club this morning at the flea market. I could've sworn I recognized the model number (807063) format, but now I am drawing a blank. The markings (1-11/32" x 1-17/32") are the milled service openings.

Saw these in a Detroit antique mall a few years ago. Thought they’d have a Mossberg stamp or something but didn’t.

Thanks. I knew I had seen it somewhere before! At first I was like, wait, what? Until I realized it was just photobombing! :)

It does resemble the DOE wrenches Mossberg made and put in their No. 14 socket set. Those had a totally different part numbering scheme, though. No. 220 (5/16 x 3/8) through No. 293 (1-1/4 x 1/16). Maybe these were extra large series sizes made for a customer. Seeing that it was an #807064, and mine is an #807063, I was about to ask you for the opening sizes, but I am assuming you didn't buy it. Apparently there's a whole set of #8070XX wrenches to track down.

Does anyone recognize the logo on the shank of this small very shallow "S" wrench (5/8" sq x 1/2" sq) I brought home from the flea this morning?

What are you guys seeing?

I made a crude drawing of what I am seeing - a monograph, either AW or WA, with a fancy notched-corner box around it.
