Last, I needed to mount the electrical enclosure with the VFD and power supply for the tach for the drill press. I made a clamp out of some strip and round tube and a mounting plate.

Nice!. I am working on a vfd for my drill press and was not sure how to mount the box. This helps.

Except the ahole who put flagstone to keep the skateboarders out of the pool. That guy needs his gears ground:lol:

Pool? What Pool? this is actually at a shopping center the original design for the green space was to be able to remove the artificial grass and have an ice rink in the winter. but that didn't happen, This is a revitalization for the shopping center, all around the area are new restaurants.

When you mess up doing a skateboad trick on that beautiful rail, your board will end up in the fountain. Shopping centers seldom seem to welcome skaters though.

That fountain is damn cool Kruger.

And the rack turn out nice tarmy, any impact to the steering with it loaded?

Well today didn't get me as far as I'd have liked. The wife hit me up with a chore that took most of the day. But the upper part just needs a couple areas built up and finish the finish before I weld it on for life. I also drilled a couple holes to keep any wiring hidden.

Thanks I thought it might be novel to some of the audience. Came to me when I had a Chevy truck with the spring shackle hangars all wallered out.

Tarmy, I'd hate to catch on a corner in an accident. Maybe a pad, roundover, or bent tube/rebar/strap/??? just outboard to hook your bungees on? looks like a great gear nest otherwise.

Those 4 wheelers can sure carry a lot of stuff. If I weren't so crazy about my dirt/trail bike I'd probably have one.

Speaking of carriers; I had to modify the flimsy front racing fender on the dirt bike to keep it from rubbing on the front wheel with every little bump.

The first four photos show what I came up with initially. Then, realized it was way over done. So, I came up with the reinforced center strap in the last photo.

It's been working great since I installed it back in 2016!

This addressed to all active and retired military and veterans. A lot of places give us a 10% or more discount. Google it or just simply remember to ask for it. Home Depot and Northern Tool come to mind just off the top of my head.

10% don't seem like much but, hey it beats a jab in the nose with a hot electrode!! Huh?

Used the MIG welder to stick these plant holders together. Took a lot longer then anticipated (6 hours)! Made a little video of it.

Installed better fittings on a pony carriage for a friend...while I'm waiting on parts for the other carriage in the shop. The second picture is what I took off and replaced.

Just got this done...doesn’t show, but there is a 1.5 inch shelf that pulls out to keep stuff off the floor. The pipe in front is a foot rest that comes out so that equipment can slide underneath.

The casters don’t lock, got these screw jacks to level and stabilize...decided not to weld them inIMG_0015.jpg

I'll throw a few things up I've done recently. Not great, but not bad for flux.

1 is a cat litter box. Welded 1" tube with casters and threaded for a wood top. Slapped a hole in the wall to the unfinished side in an attempt to knock down the ammonia smell, unsightly view, and to not ever step on litter again.

2 - a 'franken-tool' I'm trying to polish up and make look like Cresent released an MC Hammer edition

3 - still in the works - a brewing stand modeled after the 'Brutus 10'.

I recently made a "tap wrench - wrench" Thinking about grinding and polishing. However, it sits in the tool box out of sight until I need to tap something, which isn't often, so I may just leave it as is.

Worked on a header tube today. We had previously notched it for clearance with a T shaped oil pan.

Headers are a PITA, specially if they're aluminized.

Well I got the bumper done today and started on the fenders. Good thing it was nice and hot out, I wouldn't know how to act grinding and welding. :spit:

I like that! I've been scouring yard sales trying to find broken tools that I can 'franken-ize', but all I find are things that just need a little TLC to get back up and running lol.

Same here. I find it hard to destroy a perfectly good tool (especially wrenches) just for the sake of "art". However, in this case I had been wanting to do something like this for a long time to save the hassel of digging out and finding the right wrenches to tighten these tap wrenches.

It's a convenience deal. Thinking of doing something similar for my oxy/acetylene bottle fittings.

Replaced the battery shelf on my project car.

Battery will be in the trunk.

Not sure how well this will work, I've never attached from my phone before.

Oil pan done and testing for leaks over night. The first three and a half hours with none, hope my luck holds out.

Ok, this will be easier now, back on my laptop and imported a few other pictures.
I wanted to bolt it to a block so it didn't warp. Unfortunately, the only 302 block I had was a short block. The other bare blocks I have are 351W, didn't realize that I had two of them.

I started with the back and then went across the top. next up was the front and then the bottom. I left the bottom extra long and ground it down before I welded it.

E, I'd like to offer up a suggestion only because I've been down the road before. If you have a hot plate, heat the thing up to 200 degrees and then watch. I've added coolant to the water to keep it from boiling. But a couple years back we started getting some misting out of a pan on the mile car after our first long hard run. During inspection with just static water I couldn't replicate the leak. Once I got it nice and hot it showed its self plus I'm sure a little bit of positive crankcase pressure from 19lbs of boost helped as well. Just a suggestion my friend.

Thanks for the advice Cam.

I'm currently at work and hoping that paper towel is atleast dry when I get home in the morning. I already feel quite lucky as to not even have a leak once it was done. . . . .I'm NOT good, I'm LUCKY.
