I just picked this up at an auction along with a bunch of other tools. I don't think I have a drive for it. Anybody know when it was made? It's 1/2 drive. What do they call this style of ratchet? I typed the number in Google and it comes up with modern ratchets.

Ok . I'm trying to figure out when they stopped stamping the pat #s on them, when they switched from 'sk tools' to just 'sk' and when they switched from satin chrome to black oxide on the drive plug assembly.
Thanks.

Thought it was time to resurrect this thread.
I picked up a Kennedy 28" mid box to add to my S-K 2 drawer machinist type box and 22" Kennedy mid box to expand my S-K tool collection out some more. So to do that I had to empty the first two boxes. This does not include what I have in the small, medium and large socket set boxes. I'll try and get some pics of the boxes when done and an update of the socket boxes.

Try to show my S-K 47155 : (it's 3/4" drive)
Worked! Next to it a generic 3/8" hinge handle

those 47155 are beasties:

Two garage sales turned up some more S-K goodness this morning. SAE and Metric hex sockets sets. A couple flare wrenches and some 1/2 & 3/8 sockets, 1/2" rat, couple boxes and a 5/8 combo.

It's a home made job. Made from an SK magnetic bit driver.
I picked it up at a garage sale a couple years ago from on old man.

I forgot to post my extra sockets and universals.

I have a set of those S-K 1/2 deep sockets. They have a drive hole extending laterally through the upper portion of each socket, and came suppled with a small drive bar that could be inserted in the drive hole.

Nevermind on the roto...I finally picked one up. It is also the SK in a diamond logo which makes it a bit older iirc. This one has some chrome wear but everything works a-ok. Nice and tight unit. I paid a little more than I probably should have ($38) but I am pleased with it, and more importantly I wanted it. And it matches my Diamond S-K 45170 nicely :bounce:

That finish wasn't chrome originally. The diamond logo was dull and not the smoothest. Does it match your other pieces closely?? And that price isn't bad at all!

SK wrenches have a great feel to them, I love mine! I have a SAE long set and a standard length MM set, plus the 20mm stubbie.

I am in the market for long pattern combination wrenches. The prices you can get the SK one for are very attractive.

How long did it take to get the promo wrench?

A roller cabinet made by Waterloo in March 1974 badged as a S-K tool box. Owned by a civil engineer in my area. A Craigslist find.
