Do you mean 255? 225 is a little narrow for an 8.5" wheel. I currently have 255's on the wagon.
Slight typo. 225’s up front. 255’s rear.

IMG_7359 by Nick Wood, on FlickrNick, "Perfect" in the Craigslist world is different from the real world. A wheel that is still round is considered perfect in that world. "Like New" means only sparks a little when you plug it in. "Rare" means it's the only one the seller has.Well I went Saturday to look at that "perfect" set of style 197's. They were trashed.. All 4 wheels were curbed and scratched badly, the "new tires" were bald except for one, and one had a giant "repaired" crack that looked a lot like the Chernobyl elephant foot. When I told the seller I wasn't interested, he told me I wasted his time...... I'm done with Craigslist.

I've only used CL once and the people who showed up at my house made me uncomfortable. Probably didn't need to sit on the porch all night with a gun in my lap but Florida has a "made me uncomfortable" defense for homicide.

Untitled by Nick Wood, on FlickrNice. Ive always cleaned with a leather cleaner like lexol, but I hate their conditioner, always leaves everything sticky and nasty. Preferred method is clean, possibly even steam clean if you have a small one, it opens up the pores of the leather more, wipe away the years of dirt. Condition with Zymol or Meguires, and I just use my hands. Using a towel just absorbs more of the moisturizer. Slather it on, wrap in a black plastic bag, and leave out on hot concrete in direct sunlight for a few hours. The heat helps the leather pull in all the moisture it can. Then spritz with some water and wipe off the remaining film. Good luck!
I plan on using steam, nuvite leather condition and Gyeon leather coat.

Maybe a sped up video showing what you use. I am also very curious!I would love to get a play by play of your detailing products and routine. Do you frequent any detailing forums?

Untitled by Nick Wood, on FlickrThere are a lot of detailing videos out already. I would not bother doing that unless you're showing things that aren't already shown, otherwise it seems like a wasted effort.

I respectfully disagree. Yes, there are tons of detailing videos, but many are not worth the watch. It's all about the presentation and the detailer. I love watching Matt from Obsessed Garage and to a lesser extent, Larry from Ammo NYC. Because THEY make me want to watch, not necessarily what they are doing. I enjoy the way they get their message across, their attitudes, their knowledge, etc. Other guys who do good work just don't present as well.
I say go for it, dude!![]()
But what could he show that AMMO hasn't covered already? My point is there are a TON of detailing channels on youtube, and they do that as a full time gig. Their knowledge is probably far above anybody else on this forum, so what could MPower bring to the table that hasn't already been covered? Seems like it would be redundant information, with crappier production quality. Go for it if you want, I just don't see the point.
I don't think I would do detailing only content. It would mostly cover the projects I do on the cars. There isn't a lot of vintage Bmw coverage, and especially e9 stuff. I could always make a video and if it ***** it *****. Forums just seem to be dying, everything is going to youtube.

YouTube and Facebook groups. One of the very few reasons I still use Facebook, actually. That, and Marketplace.
E9 content would be cool! You're right, that is definitely missing. I'd focus on that. My most recent video was doing the head and an RS2 upgrade on my S6, and that video took off, over 10k views in a few months. I think it was just because the car is sort of rare, if I had done a detailing video on it I don't think anybody would care.
Facebook is horrible for archiving information. People asking the same questions over and over, wanting to be spoon fed information, and no ability to search for answers to questions that people have already solved. I'm glad forums are still active for all the cars I'm involved in.
