When I was installing the wires I did my best to keep the wires in the back of the boxes and routed them more toward the middle of any studs. This would have prevented most accidental nicks situation from the wondering router/zip bit as long as the bits weren’t longer the 2”.I would have been more concerned about how good they were with the cutout tool and damaging an outlet or wiring.
But these guys pre measured the holes location and would cut them first and then trim the boards to fit once against the outlets. Now that I think about it, I don’t recall seeing a zip tool or router that some guys use to cut around outlets.
