Dan

The snow looks....:headscrat

The wall looks great. I did notice a box or two out of sorts and was going to comment "Gerard's mind is going to be racing" but I see he's already started.

It looks awesome Dan. You know you might just have to line all those up by year and era. LOL. [emoji482]

Yep lifetime warranty on arranging and rearranging. :bounce:

Well I finely made it to the end of new post up until now Dan. I shouldn't have slacked so long on knowing you had a garage thread but have now caught up and will begin to try to stay caught up.

Well thank you. All of you guys. I've lost the last three days to plowing and shoveling snow. So hopefully today I can get back at it. No progress on the shop but I did get the yard cleaned up. Here's a picture of one pile that was left by Mother Nature. And that's not from plowing.

First off. This one's for you Pines. I went out and bought a label maker over the weekend. There's no way I'll be able to find anything with all the new draws that have been added to the shop.( I'll get a count soon)

Lyndon, thank you for the plates.

I know...I expect you guys from down under will see them right side up.:D

In one weeks time, I've changed my mind about the WOC already. The first set up might have to be rearranged.:headscrat

I also have temporarily place the die cast vehicles that Billy sent me. Thanks again.

More picture to follow with the never ending saga of the WOC. Thanks for sending the curse along with the boxes Gerard.:headshake

exactly!

I think though somebody needs to break this down and explain it like a kindergartener could understand!

there's got to be a manual in the WOC drawer somewhere!

When it includes Gerard, us kindergarteners will always be in the black hole :lol_hitti:lol_hitti

The WOC evidently lives:evil:, we belive that they explell a force to the owner to constantly move around and be rearranged, this set of boxes has the most miles of the casters.:lol_hitti

And where is Dan?

I have a theory that he is trying to get the WOC in the right place one final time and has given up GJ, eating and sleeping to accomplish this quest.

Search party for Dan or the screwdriver?:lol_hitti

See Pines, if you would of made labels for his boxes, he wouldn't be missing in action?:lol_hitti

After thinking for a min., he'll need more than drawer labels, he'll also need something like section or box ID signs, you know like subdivision names or something!!

I have 3 towers and several carts. I feel his pain... but 12 towers... ??? he is in a different class than me.

My three are
1. It spins with power
2. It needs to be measured, tested, machined, or metricly wrenched
3. It needs to be connected with hand tools

When I got my garage I started off with not a lot of stuff. So as I acquired stuff I had to play a little garage Tetris to get it all fit. I seem to do this much more than others. After a while it seems like my friends would just start changing things for no apparent reason just to change things. So CB coined the phrase "Gerarded". If you find yourself in your finished or semi finished garage and say "what if I" watch out.

The WOC is a whole other story. There's a myth that the RedGray series of Craftsman toolboxes have supernatural powers. It can make a rational thinking man irrational. Have you seen a owner of a craftsman cabinet of that era not be obsessed to find and buy more? Look at work Zeeman done to bring one back to life. Its not us but the toolboxes fault. I started out with one bottom roller and ended up few years later had 12. Having first hand knowledge of this I've can tell the story. I started out with one. I would be out in the garage and something told me to find another. I did find a matching bottom roller but that wasn't enough. I would rearrange the garage more and more to fit more cabinets. The more time I spent in the garage looking at things the worse it got. If you looked at the wall too long it would send you into a hypnotic state and say build me bigger. You would be so entranced that you would be on craigslist constantly searching hunting to for full the walls needs. Late at night you can hear calls "come to the garage come to the garage build it bigger". Even when you resisted to search for new cabinets they somehow ended up in the back of your pick up truck on their way home to your garage. No one could understand why I kept building and building and building they thought I was crazy. I kept telling everyone it's not me it's the Wall. The wall needs to be fed more and more cabinets to the point that it pushed out any cabinet other then a Craftsman cabinet. I knew at some point it had to end so I put the wall up for sale. Dan bought it right away. Once the Wall left my garage there became a peace that I haven't felt in many many years and remarkably I really haven't been playing garage Tetris anymore. As you see once Dan got delivery of the wall he's been through how many layouts and have we seen much of Dan lately? Hmmmmmm

My life is "What if I"... it's why I am a label freak. Before that... it was why I own 5 of the same freaking tool because ... couldn't find it... bought another.

No word from the WOC current care taker?

Maybe we should send in a search party!

Locate DLC! He's probably on his knees mumbling soft spoken poetic words of wonder and amazement to the mighty WOC!!

I'm thinking he needs to get acquainted with a librarian. Looks like he needs a modified Dewey Decimal System.

Guys, it's worse than words can describe. I didn't believe Gerard when he warned me of the curse. But things will never be the same again.

2/28/17: Log entry:

I'm starting to wonder what I've done to myself. At first I was thinking how wonderful the new WOC would be. After the first week all seemed relatively normal. Then I started noticing little things. At first I blew it off to me not remembering that I had changed something around. Then one morning I came into the shop and one of the boxes was a couple of feet away from the wall. I though maybe we had a small earth tremor that allowed it to roll ( even though it was the only box that had moved). Then I found myself getting up in the middle of the night and coming to the shop to just have a look and see the WOC was still where I'd left it. I'd go back to bed and sure enough, when I came back in the morning the boxes had changed around again. Then one morning I came in to find that the home made tape labels that I'd made were being replaced by labels from an actual label maker. I immediately thought that Pines (the label king) was sneaking in at night and dong this just to f%^k with me. Yesterday I came in to find one of the boxes across the room right under the Florida plates that Craptain and Bob had sent me. And it seemed rather warm in the shop. Then I noticed the heater controller had been set at 85* (not sure why?) This morning when I got here the WOC has actually started adding on to itself. The boxes are starting to take on a life of their own. Guys, I'm really worried. I haven't slept in three days and I'm getting way behind on the work in the shop. This morning I realized it had been over a week since I've even been on the GJ. If you don't here from me I just want you all to know that the WOC has consumed me and I have become part of the wall. This may be my last entry. If it's not to late, please have Gerard send me the antidote to cure this.

Interesting history of the WOC!

And so wise of Gerard to get rid of it.

The WOC is getting cold and must be warmed.

Dan, there may still be time, send all the boxes out and have them powder coated.

No labels, that just adds to the confusion. When you can't find something, just buy more tools. After all, it's not like you don't have the storage.

It's been really nice knowing you, so sorry to see you go this way. Hmmm... would it be too much too ask for Cuda Chick's fishnets?

Dan be careful of boxes with handles along the sides. Don't get obsessed with those.

Gerard, did you lock down the movie and book rights to this story before selling the WOC to Dan? It's sounding like a great scary movie in the making here.

OMG... I swear i'm hearing an evil laugh from the south... perhaps Gerard has been successful in exorcising his demon.

You need to learn the secret from Gerard on which drawers to simultaneously open in order to calm the WOC spirits.

Wow... this is really sounding like that WOC is the Wall Of Christine...

Please check in Dan, from time to time... we are worried.
