    help berfore someone gets hurt

its not safe. equipment ground must not be used as the neutral. Metal parts can become energized. Run a 4th conductor or if its a long way pick up a little 2kva 240-120v transformer (make sure to provide proper protection and bond the neutral on the secondary). Also GFCI protection is required...

Can Someone just tell me what 4' T8 Light fixture to buy?

man i like that house. install and hardwire the fixtures. If you put receptacles in they have to be GFCI protected, and with the humidity in FL combined with the leakage in a bunch of ballasts, you risk what people call 'nusience tripping' dont go to the bix box stores, get fixtures from an...

Can someone tell me what this armor wire is 4 wires plug ground pics inside

here is a use scenario for that cable in a residential garage application: you have 9 8ft 4 tube t8 fixtures, supply them with a 20 amp circuit. Run the circuit into a 3 gang switch box, then this 12/4 cable (if its 12/4 -pretty sure it is) from the 3 gang switch box through all the lights...

What do I need this transformer for?

here's a good example for using a pair of them. You have a gate opener and motion light out at the street, 600ft from your house. Instead of having to run some gigantic wire out there you use one transformer to step the voltage up to 480 or 600v run #10 wire instead of #2, and back down to 120v...

    wiring already corded fluroscent fixtures

install receptacles. They have to be protected by gfci, but dont have to be gfci. So use standard duplex, then supply them using a deadfront GFCI located next to the switch. Dont modify and hardwire the fixture.

    The Concrete Underground

generator inside for easier maintenance and weather protection, plus being able to have an 'open frame' type generator vs a fully enclosed unit. I've seen 50 year old generators that are indoors like this that look brand new. Also easier to deal with potential environmental issues if there is a...

    The Concrete Underground

if i had a concrete bunker like that, I would spring for a big diesel generator and 30-45 days of onsite fuel storage....maybe 2 for redundancy. and have them inside the structure (for those who say you cant have a generator inside, its done all the time in office buildings there are just...
