Does anyone sell a bamboo leaf rake anymore?

My 40+ year old bamboo rake is coming apart and when I search the local stores, HD, Lowes, ACE, Walmart for a replacement, they only show steel or plastic versions. Are they just as good or better than bamboo?

Anything better than a milk crate for standing on to reach deep under the hood?

The problem on concrete or asphalt is that it keeps slipping out from under your feet. Does anyone make a platform to stand on that won't slip out? I know there is the Topside creepers, but I don't want to drag something that large out of the basement for a 10 minute job.

No Free Parking until logged in?

Just noticed that if I look at this site without being logged in, the Free Parking section is missing. Is that my browser or a site thing? Seems an odd thing to hide from nonregistered users.

Cheaper alternative blasting media to Skat Blast® Speed Bead?

https://www.tptools.com/Skat-Blast-Speed-Bead-Abrasive,10574.html?b=d*8019 $75 plus another $20 shipping is too much for a 45 pound bag when just a couple of years ago it was like $60 total for 50 pounds. I figure I go through 2-3 bags a year. Anything similar at a better price, preferably...

    Mueller Kueps bearing remover

https://mueller-kueps.com/product-catalog/brake-suspension-tools/universal-race-puller/ I bought this tool on Ebay a few years for no reason other than it was priced so cheap, even though I had no immediate use for it. Today it paid off in removing a differential bearing when a bearing splitter...

What product to coat bare aluminum to keep looking good?

I'm rebuilding a transmission and bead blasted the case. What product can I put on it to keep that aluminum from oxidizing over time? No paint or clearcoat as they will crack and peel after a few months. Would Sharkhide work? Can it be applied with a spray bottle? What about WD40? Will it...

Thoughts on this portable single post lift?

Since I don't wan't to deal with installation and bolting a lift to the ground, this seems ideal, pun intended. Saw someone selling a used one for $3,000. https://idealautoequip.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/MSC-6KLP-Brochure.pdf

Strong adhesive to bond plastic to glass?

This Fiat 500's front windows have a plastic guide to keep the glass aligned as it moves up and down. After 10 or so years they tend to break apart so the glass jams in one spot. The dealer doesn't sell that piece, just the whole glass. Ebay to the rescue, https://www.ebay.com/itm/183836421712...

Suggest a pistol grip blow gun that will last more than a year.

I probably bought three of these the last five years, and they last a year or two before the nozzle won't stay in the body and flies in the air at the worse time. Currently the valve is busted and blows air constantly. Anything better with a similar design?

Something like this for a Honda, A socket that has flats for a wrench so you can put a hex key down the center to hold the shaft. No, an offset wrench won't fit. Ten bucks online but don't see where I can get it locally tomorrow. Nothing at Harbor Freight. Haven't checked Snap On but not...

Anybody do a warranty replacement with Gearwrench?

My 3/8" ratchet is locked up so I filled out the online form and sent a picture of it over 10 days ago. Other than a acknowledgment email the same day, I haven't heard back. Is this how their customer service works?

Does anyone sell single size butterfly sockets?

Can't loosen tie rod to adjust toe. 17 mm wrench is slipping when I try to loosen it. 16 mm won't fit. No room to swing an adjustable wrench. Flare nut wrench or crowfoot won't fit. I have a set of these butterfly sockets but the genius that designed them made them in range of multiple...

    New Craftsman low profile ratchets

https://www.craftsman.com/pages/low-profile? Anybody try them out yet? I've stopped using straight ratchets a few years ago in favor of the locking flex head style Gearwrench, but this looks like the OG Craftsman of a decade or two ago.

I have an older Ateq VT55 that only works on cars up to 2012 and no updates are available. What is a good replacement that can program many aftermarket sensors and doesn’t require annual paid updates to keep working? Looking under $300. The Autel TS508 looks good but only programs Autel...

What brand of medium cure plastic repair in 50 ml cartridge?

I've been using Lord Fusor 153 for years and use it on all kinds repairs, but it has been discontinued in the 50 ml cartridge and is only available as 152 in a 300 ml cartridge. The 50 ml 153 lasts me a year or two which is beyond the shelf life to begin with, so a 300 ml cartridge of 152 would...
