How well does a trench compactor work with sand?

My guy put down this... "Processed fill," often called "screened fill," refers to fill material that has been processed to remove large rocks and debris, resulting in a more uniform, compactable mix of soil and smaller aggregates, suitable for leveling, backfilling, and creating stable foundations.

Preparing for slab pour and sealer application

Yes my pad was completely flat which I prefer. It looks like I have finally cured my door leaks. Since most of the front side of the building is actually door openings with small door pillars (60 foot long wall with four 12 foot doors), I am glad that the area under the front walls are flat and...

    TS210 Over Ghostshield 8510

Thanks for all the advice. I will leave the 8510 uncovered and save myself some time and money. I just ordered some spiked shoes so that I could walk on the 8510 and apply the second coat without leaving footprints

Preparing for slab pour and sealer application

Don' forget to put a slope on the area in front of the doors to prevent water running back under the closed doors I forgot and had to grind mine after the event...it was not fun...

    TS210 Over Ghostshield 8510

Now that the warmer weather is here, I am intending to treat my 35 x 60 shop concrete floor with Ghostshield 4100 Intensifier and Ghostshield 8510. In order to get a better oil resistant finish, can I then apply a coat of TS210 over the fully cured Ghostshield or is this not possible ?

Neutrals won’t reach in new panel. Options?

I believe NEC allows soldering if there is mechanical support, so I would twist the short wire and an extension wire together, solder it and put on two layers of heatshrink.

    NewAge Products $5K Giveaway!

I have been looking at the NewAge garage storage products and they are very well made. I was even measuring out a location today. Nice of them to offer this. Fingers crossed here.

    Workshop electrical and ethernet installation

As an aside, I believe that 240V cable in PVC conduit must be buried at least 18 inches deep. This will be to the top of the conduit. So if you are using 2 inch conduit then the trench will need to be 20 inches deep. I mention this since you stated in your first post that your trench was 18...

Finish options for a new slab in winter in New England

I am looking at sealing my floor late in the season also but I am in North Carolina so I have a little warmer temps. I think the options to look at are GhostShield 4500 and 8510 and also Coval Concrete. These can be applied at lower temperatures. Unfortunately TS210 needs temps that I won't see...

Filling Expansion Joints Before or After GhostShield Floor Treatment or Not At All

I am certainly glad that I got all the hardened cement dust out of the cuts. It took some work to get it out.

Filling Expansion Joints Before or After GhostShield Floor Treatment or Not At All

Thanks, I will look into this. I spent all day cleaning out the expansion cuts. Previously I had to grind the cement porch down in front of the 5 doors to stop water getting under the doors and I have since power washed the floor 3 times. A lot of the grinding dust ended up solidified in the...

Filling Expansion Joints Before or After GhostShield Floor Treatment or Not At All

Thanks for the tip. I measured my cuts and they are 0.173 inches wide. I found this - will it fit in my cuts ? Maybe I should order it and try https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CPL4MVYT/?tag=atomicindus08-20 Maybe the foam will be better for the caulk...

Filling Expansion Joints Before or After GhostShield Floor Treatment or Not At All

I am getting ready to treat my new 35 x 60 shop floor with Ghost Shield 4500 and then 8510. I wanted to use TS210 but I don't have adequate temperatures left this season. Should I fill the expansion joint cuts ? I see Silkaflex recommended or is there something better ? Should I fill before the...

Concrete Sealers USA TS210 Install Review

Yes the Coval product looks a bit complicated to apply. It has the advantage of working at lower temperatures and needs to be applied to concrete that has been treated with a densifier or their primer. A densifier is a no no with TS210. The Coval product is pretty expensive though at $1249 for...

Concrete Sealers USA TS210 Install Review

That does look like a good slot but unfortunately I don't have the product on site and I am still trying to get the floors cleaned. If you see my earlier post about water getting under my doors, I am still cleaning up all the dust and mess. I have blown and power washed the floors 3 times but...
