    Unknown part

    Looking for any info on what this is for. One full turn of the knob moves the center part about 30 thou. The small raised parts are two different sizes (one 1/4" wide , the other 3/16".

    Looking for more info. This belongs to a friend of mine. He wanted a handle installed which I did for him. The hole in the screw was there. Marked Roy Goodnick. 11 lbs. 4 3/4" dia. Jaws are hardened and reversible . Seems a little too heavy duty for jewelry work maybe gun smithing?

    Here's 4 I pulled out. #1 has a tiny mark that I can't read ( L_____ with what looks a lion) #2&3 also can't read (____brin___y 1945) #4&5-no marks. #1 looks French.
