Is EBay completely worthless or does it just seem that way to me

That's helpful, thanks. So the short answer is to list those 1099s for personal items on the schedule 1. They're excluded from income as a result.

Is EBay completely worthless or does it just seem that way to me

Okay, so I'm not a tax attorney but I'm 99% sure that selling old tools is not "income" in the way the IRS defines it (unless you're buying and reselling for profit). Your basis in the tools is almost certainly higher than the sales price, so it's actually a loss... Ebay can send me all the...

    Work Boots!

So whatever happened with the OPs thoroughgoids? Those are Goodyear welted and any competent cobbler should be able to glue on a new sole. It's not hard to diy either if you're so inclined.

    Spraying Rustoleum Enamel with HVLP

For Kubota orange I ended up thinning it a lot. I think it was like 3:2 with thinner for the final mix. I also used the majick brand hardener from tractor supply. It came out great!

    DIY machined finish?

You're absolutely right, I should have looked at the pics. Scotch brite pads on the die grinder leave a decent looking finish. That's what I'd do 👍

    DIY machined finish?

This is an important point. Right now the part is protected from damage and corrosion for the life of the engine. If you polish the lettering you're actively destroying that protection. Are good looks worth it to you? If yes then you'll have to commit to a regular routine of cleaning and...

    What makes a durable house?

For me it starts and ends with the site selection/prep and the foundation. Everything else can be changed or repaired easily enough.

Milwaukee or Icon combo wrenches? Milwaukee is set about $100 cheaper

For a non professional user go with something much cheaper IMO. The Pittsburgh pro set has both sae and metric common sizes for like $20. That'll get you by just fine. Ratcheting wrenches are the way to go anyway for my money.

    Makita Addiction Thread

I've been very tempted to do the same. The Milwaukee ratchets are way, way nicer than anything else on the market. I could use the PEX expander too.

Multitools - what say you? Aye or Nay?

I like the idea of the multi tool a lot, but honestly I never use mine. I think it would be really good for camping/hiking. All I really need is a blade for daily use and my pocketknife is slimmer and easier to deploy.

    Inside Doc's Shop...

Man, I feel old. I'm pretty sure I remember when you were selling those autococker bodies some 20 years ago... How's the paintball industry going these days? I haven't followed the developments much since those electro-cockers were the new hot item. It's cool to see you're still doing it.

    Stud finder help please

A magnet will find the screws that hold the plywood up. If those screws are regularly spaced out then you found your stud.

Introducing the 52SLMAX, lots of updates to our wireless charging work light

Wireless charging is the killer feature for me. I love just dropping my cell phone onto a pad instead of faffing around with a plug. Now I'll do the same with my work light

Introducing the 52SLMAX, lots of updates to our wireless charging work light

I'm usually of the same mind when it comes to value shopping, but we're talking about a very minor price difference here. If they were asking $200 for this light I'd agree with you. But these features are worth $20 over the Icon, easily. The LED strip is on the wrong side on the Icon anyway...

Anybody got opinion on Harbor Freight Cabinets (US General)

They're excellent for the money. There isn't a better quality/price ratio on the market currently. If you're hoping to get the 56" on the one day sale I suggest calling every store in the state to check stock, and plan to get there early. The word is out about this sale and it's going to be...

Need Info on I.D. of Old Tool Plane

I bought and restored a few hand planes several years ago. Honestly, the only one I ever use is the little block plane for knocking down sharp edges. They're cool, but just not really that useful in practice.

    Wiring 2 m18 batteries in series…

That's the big question mark. The BMS inside the Milwaukee packs might freak out if they see a 24v load. I don't know enough about them. I have seen projects where people are running ebikes off of tool batteries but I don't know at what voltage or if modifications were required
