Ford rear axle housing socket wrench - who does this logo belong to?

I found this Ford L socket wrench, 5Z-152. Hex opening is 1/2" across flats. I believe it is a rear axle housing bolt nut wrench for a Model T. It is 7.5 inches long. Trying to figure who the logo in the 3rd and 4th pictures belongs to? (The logo is just below the "5-Z-152" on the wrench.)...

Who Made This Female Drive Sliding Tee Handle?

Found this 1/2-inch female drive sliding T-handle a couple days ago. It has no markings. Trying to figure out who might have made it? The only distinguishing characteristic I can see is the knurling ring, and that is pretty generic. The bar is 10 inches long, 0.56 inch diameter and has a...

I found this one at a swap meet. It has an interesting thick black coating that is wrinkled in some places. Overall length is 6.9 inches. Stamped: "Apco Mossberg Co Attleboro, Mass. USA". A WWII era Handle-41-H-1501 ?

    H. J. Hamlet - tool maker

Here’s a tool company that isn’t (yet) on the Garage Journal INDEX of companies. The company had four name variations over the years and spent most of its time in Portland, Oregon, where it started in 1927. The company was in Riverside, California for roughly a decade starting in the mid 30’s...

    C & H Rim Tool ?

Bought this at a swap meet this weekend. It seems to be a substantial 5/16" 6-point hex driver with a retaining function. Overall length is 13-3/8 inches. The spring-loaded outer shaft sleeve pushes forward to allow the bolt/screw to be inserted. To me, based on materials and construction...

Old cool car spark plug socket, or newer, sad motorcyle toolkit socket, or?

Something about this seemed old to me; like it might be some type of male drive socket. After pretending to ignore it for a month, I finally bought it and brought it home and cleaned it up. It has no markings whatsoever. This is about the only thing remotely similar that I could find online...

    "Garden City" pliers?

I picked these up today. Anyone heard of Garden City as a tool manufacturer? In a quick search online I found another pair of pliers identical to these, but that was it. They are a little over 6 inches long and the flat jaws are 5/16" wide. Thanks for any help.

Recognize this No. 31 Drop Forged stamped on shank DOE?

I picked this up because the shank stamping did not look common (to me). It has the 7/8" and 25/32" ends that would be expected for a #31. Overall length is 7.75". It has no forge marks, and no marks at all on the back side. I spent about an hour searching through Alloy Artifacts and gave up...

    Champion wrench?

Any idea of the manufacturer of this double open end? Is this from Champion Mower & Reaper, or Champion De Arment Tool Co., or some other "Champion" company? It looks to be carbon steel so maybe it could be an older Farm wrench made by/for Champion Mower & Reaper? However, something about it...

    -B- marked pliers?

Anyone know the maker of these pliers? The only marking is a "-B-" forged on each side. 6.5-inch overall length and pretty hefty. I searched without result except for one pair posted on an auction site where they were claiming Barcalo as the the manufacturer. (Here is the link: 6-1/2"...

Found these for $2 on this holiday weekend. Any idea who made them? My uneducated guess would be that they are WII era for wire cutting?

    Samson wrenches (not Lever-Jaws).

Found this 5.5-inch overall length combo wrench made by Samson today. Other than a couple DBEs and DOEs on e-bay I am not finding much about this company. Anyone have one of their wrenches or know about the manufacturer? There was the Samson Wrench Company of LaCrosse, Wisconsin that started...

    Help with Herbrand Ratchet Repair

I picked up a Herbrand J-5 at a garage sale with a transverse slide shifter and dual pawls. The problem is, as it sits it does not ratchet. If you hold the shifter to one side or the other it will work appropriately, but as soon as you let go of the shifter it stops ratcheting. I've taken it...

Pressed steel socket with a "tail"?

Trying to figure out if this is old(er) and cool, or a cheap import from more recent years? It has no markings at all. Looks like it is missing a cross bar. Ever seen one like this?

Any thoughts on the maker? I've browsed Stevens-Walden and Syracuse Wrench with no luck. Stamping is "S W" "U.S.A." "3/4" "5/8" with a forged "7". Length is 7.1 inches. Thanks for any help.

What kind of single box end is this?

I bought this at a garage sale. I've never seen one in person. I've seen one somewhere on line, but can't remember where. It has no markings. It is riveted together. It's 7-3/4" long and the hex opening is about 11/16". I tried searching by description, but failed. Help. :dunno: Do...

Recognize the logo on this hammer?

I know it is a longshot, but I was wondering if anyone knows this logo? It looks like a wedge through a rectangle. These are photos I took at the thrift store. Best I could do at the time. If it is cool/old enough, I'd go back and buy it.

    Where's the Spiro-Grip love?

GJ doesn't seem to have any posts about the beautiful Stanley Spiro-Grip screwdrivers. :eyecrazy: I just found a #1258. The only thing I've seen online is a 1953 advertisement to dealers (attached) and a 1955 PayLess Drug Store advertisement in an Oregon newspaper where a set of 6 was on...
