    Oswego 289 1/2 Jaws

Picked up this Oswego Saturday at an auction for an old friend and mentor. I’d love to get it back in action but going to need some jaw inserts. 5-1/2” wide but the odd taper is gonna make this tough.

    Makita DMP181 Available?

I drive a lot of gravel every day, and have found my M12 inflator & tire plug kit to be a lifesaver. Problem is that the M12 is sloooow, and I’ve noticed performance has fallen off over the years. I’d like to go towards the Makita, and add my older Makita 1/2” impact and set of flip sockets to...

    Makita Cordless Recip Upgrade

My old BJR82 Makita cordless recip saw has been bulletproof, but takes the old style 18v batteries. Got a few left, but they’re getting weak, and this is the only LXT tool I have left that isn’t compatible with newer batteries. Is the XJR05 brushless model worth it to upgrade to? It gets used...

    Pawn Shop Code Crackers

Got this set a while back for $60, out the door, and thought that was a pretty fair price for this set. IDK why, but I’ve been wondering what they actually had in it. Any of you code crackers care to take a shot at this one?

    Patrick-McDermott manual impact wrench

Got this at closing auction for local garage and towing company, in business since 1955. Marked Patrick-McDermott Co, Los Angeles CA. Never seen anything like it. It’s 3/4 drive and original owner told me he changed a lot of truck tires with it, back in the day.

    Grab & Go Aerosol Organizer

Rainy day, and I was tired of aerosol cans getting busted up in my pickup toolbox. 15 minutes & about $8 later:

    Makita XWT08 Fair Used Price

I've had the wants for one of these for awhile now. One locally, w/o battery or charger for $175. Guy claims to have bought it a month ago and looks unused. I've got plenty of good batteries and chargers. Deal or not?

    Unusual Diamond Calk 18" Adjustable

Been accumulating Diamond Tools for about 20 years now, and never seen an 18" until a few weeks back. See quite a few off the 15" style with plated finish and tapered handle. Got all this for $40. Anybody else ever seen one like it?

    WW2 Aircraft Generator Welder

Bought this for no reason other than it's cool, for $16 at local consignment auction. Post WW2, Burdens Surplus Center, forerunner of today's Surplus Center, in Lincoln, NE, assembled and sold these. Not sure if I'll hook it up to an engine, or try to set up a jackshaft and run with tractor...

    Jobsite Radio Milwaukee vs Makita

Looking for a Bluetooth capable jobsite radio with good sound quality and at least some weather resistance. Don't want to leave it out in the rain, but it will be used outside. I'm already into the M-12 and M18 platforms, and Makita 18v stuff. Any suggestions or recommendations?

    Makita XL02Z 18v 3/8 Angle Impact

Anybody have one of these? Snagged one with 3 batteries and charger off a Facebook ad for $60 tonight. Already have 18v drill in this platform so figured it wasn't too bad of deal. Seems powerful enough, but a bit big. Not sure how handy it'll be, but hadn't bought a new tool all week...

    Flush(est) Mount Ceiling Fan

Got an area in my shop where I do a lot of small projects / bench work type stuff. Gets terribly stuffy in the summer, and I'd like to add a ceiling fan. Ceiling is 8', and I'm 6'7", so there is a bit of a clearance issue! Anybody know of a fan with an extra low profile?

    Click Mfg Pliers Fairbury NE

Bought these last night at an auction. Made about 40 miles west of me, in Fairbury NE. About all I can find is that they closed due to labor and material shortages during WW2, and never reopened. In 20 years, I've only seen 2-3 of these.

    Milwaukee 700 Lumen USB Flashlight

Played around with one of these at a pawnshop yesterday. Like new and priced at $35. Seemed like a pretty well built light. Anybody got one?

    Rejuvenating Leather Handles

Picked up a nice Woodmans Pal last weekend in a pawnshop in Wichita. Great overall condition, but I'd like to treat the leather handle to help it last. This has a handle of stacked leather washers, like an Estwing hammer. These aren't cracked or loose...I just don't want them getting that way...

    M12 Ratchet Run Time

Bought a Non-Fuel Milwaukee ratchet a few weeks back. Love this thing, but just got done using it to R&R a skidloader engine, probably a total of 30 bolts, in and out, but noticed battery was pretty close to dead as I finished up. Just wondering if that's about normal? I'm sure runtime varies...

    M12 Ratchet Head Boot

Had my eyes out for one of these after using a coworkers a couple times. His was about shot, but been heavily used for several years in industrial maintenance. Found one in a pawnshop Saturday morning, in brand new condition, and got it for $90 out the door, including battery & charger. Used it...

    Fabricating A Gas Tank

Got an old skidloader with a rotten gas tank. Replacement is obsolete. Original was 10"x12" and 24" long. Got some 10"x10 3/8" wall square tube I think I'll burn some ends on and add a pipe flange & ****** on top for a filler. Repaired a lot of tanks, but never built one from scratch. Anyone...

    JNC 660 New vs Old

My old Clore JNC660 finally gave up the ghost after about 16 years and I need a replacement. Noticed the new one has a hard plastic case and different clamps, and seems a lot heavier. Anybody know if the new ones are as good as the older ones?

    Best 5 gallon carb dip?

Came to the realization I'm going to need a new bucket of carb cleaner. Betting my Berryman can is close to 15 years old and about used up. Do a far amount of tractor carb work so still have a need. What's out there that still works good?
