    HF Air Nibbler Opinions

Got to cut some details into a sheet of 16ga sheet metal, to replace the floor in my manure spreader. I see the HF nibbler is rated for 16ga max, and I'm wondering how well, or if it will work for this? Got plenty of air compressor, so no issues there. Any thoughts?

Vacula Blow Gun, Can't Find Replacement

Had this for probably 15 years, bought from our Mac or Snap On dealer. It cracked where the quick connect fitting screws in, and I can't find a replacement. Anyone know where I could find one?

    Mac TaskConnect

Found one of these locally for $150. Looks like a fairly straightforward, capable little diagnostic tool. I don't work on cars for a living, but do all the family fleet repair and maintenance. All domestic, post 2000 stuff. Anyone have one? Any thoughts?

    Montezuma ME 300 Toolbox

Been wanting a Montezuma CPL style toolbox for years, but being a tightwad, been watching for a used one. Sitting on the can Sat morning, checking the local C -list, (don't tell me you don't do this!) when I spotted one like new, for $200! And less than 10 miles away. I didn't want the smallest...

    Denver Area Tool Stores

Heading out to Denver soon, to visit sisters family over the holidays. First chance I get, I'm heading to Charlie's Secondhand Tools, and checking out the pawnshops all along Federal Ave. Always managed to find some worthwhile stuff in the area, but I'm wondering if I'm overlooking any other...

    Who's Got Posi-Lock Gear Pullers?

Re-Sealing my K R Wilson 50 ton shop press, and needed to pull the piston off the ram tonight. Big, heavy, and been together for years...was expecting one hell of a fight, so grabbed my big 109 Posi-Lock puller. Got it all set up, and to my surprise, pulled it right off, with minimal fuss. Got...

    Today's Pawnshop Snaggage!

Went up to the big city to look for a different truck for the wife. New owner was driving it off the lot as we arrived. Decided to troll a few pawnshops instead. Scored a nice Aldis Sweet Cut 8000 gas post hole digger for $55! Good shape, other than a missing motor mount bolt I'll have to...

Craftsman 20 Piece Gearwrench Set $49.99

Anybody get in on this sale? Snagged 3 sets Saturday morning. 1 for me and 2 for Christmas gifts. Managed to get along 25 years without them, but thought they might come in handy.

    Weekend Auction Scores

Went to an auction to try to get a pull type scraper bought to move some dirt. Scraper was totally wasted, I didn't fight the scrapper a for it. Guy had a decent assortment of tools and shop equipment, but nobody seemed to be buying. Maybe the effects of $3 corn are here! Watched a nice Harris...

    Craftsman C-3 3/8" Cordless Impact

My old Snap-On CT 30 finally died, for good this time. Been rebuilt twice already, and I guess it's almost 15 years old. Been a good tool, and worth every penny. I don't wrench professionally anymore, but still need a good replacement. Already have the C3 1/2" and several other Craftsman C3...

Cutting Oil, What Do You Like, Where To Get?

Coming to the end of a 2.5 gallon jug of cutting oil I bought at an old machinists estate sale. What I have is the old, sulphur scented petroleum based stuff. Just gave like $1 for a jug marked "cutting oil" with magic marker, so no idea type or brand, but it's the best stuff for drilling and...

    K.R Wilson 50 Ton Press

Snagged this press tonight off C/L for $100. Seller said it doesn't work, but I was willing to gamble. Laid it down in the back of the 2500HD, and hauled it 50 miles home. Got it stood up and it seems to be working properly. Maybe pump lost it's prime, or check ball is out of place or something...

    Last Weekends Pawnshop Score

Had to venture up to Omaha Sat morning, to provide some security while the wife met with a potentially scary client. All went well and we were left with most of the day to kill. Decided to troll some pawnshops and see what I could find. Came away with an OTC 7379 3/4" torque wrench, 5 or 6...

Truecraft Tools / Memories Of First Tools

Done baling hay, so spent all morning doing all the little things around the place that get neglected when the weather breaks, and it's time to go. Sorting tools back out of trucks, tractors and swather, this always brings back memories, as a lot of my "field" tools came from neighbors and...

    Today's pawnshop score!

Carried out this Wright-Grip set, plus 8" Diamond wrench, and a partial set of Lisle Torx bits for $30!

    Greenlee 531 Portable Bandsaw

Stopped in a pawnshop Saturday, kinda made an impulse buy on a Greenlee 531 portable bandsaw, for $50, didn't think I'd get hurt too bad, and a kind of handy thing to have around. Came with nice metal case and 3 new blades. Only downfall I see is that it's 2 speed, not variable speed, and blades...

    Roll Pin Punches....Wilde or Mayhew

Need some new roll pin punches, my old Mayhew set is flat out shot! Bought them used, over 20 years ago, and they have been great. Looking for a set from 1/16-1/2 inch, and like the looks of the Wilde, but never used them. Any suggestions?

    Sieg Air Compressor

Just got home from a late night welding job. 30 miles away, in my hometown, in what used to be my best friends dad's old repair shop. Hadn't set foot in there since he sold out 10 years ago, but when I heard the air compressor kick on, it brought back a lot of memories. Big old 80 gallon...

    Snap On WWP-12 How Old?

Bought a handful of odds and ends out of a local pawnshop for $15. Nothing noteworthy really, Drill Dr 300, new in box, some nice Fiskars pruning shears, SnapOn bearing race punch, a few Craftsman locking extensions, and a pair of wheel weight pliers. Upon cleaning up the pliers, I noticed they...

    Anti-Strip Hex Wrenches

I work on a lot of old, neglected, rusty stuff. Seems like half the time, smaller Allen head setscrews will strip, despite your best efforts. Didn't someone offer them with serrated edges to bite into the sides of the screw? Did they work well, and where can I get them?
