    todays so truck haul

The scope is listed on their site for $399.95. I'd give you some free mugs and other discounts too. Because I do believe you've paid more than retail for the whole deal.

    Uses for engine lifts.

I used an engine hoist to pick up the iron staircase I built and placed it where it belonged. I'm not saying it was easy, but I did it by myself. I purposely avoided doing it until my wife left the house, as she's the worrying kind.

Ratcheting Tube Cutters- Anybody have them?

Nesco and/or Robinaire or others. I'm interested to know if they'll spin in a tighter area than regular Imp cutters. The larger size I'm sure would be a help under a sink, but the small size looks like the knob could still have interference issues. Anybody know?

    Aluminum workbench top

It was an enamel. The color was "clear plastic". I'm sure I picked it up at an auto parts retailer. Probably any clear other than a lacquer would do.

    Aluminum workbench top

I have a similar table top in my basement (allegedly to fold clothes) that I sprayed with clear plastic spray. I bang around on it will few ill effects. Being that it is a "harder" soft metal, it won't hurt your delicates.

Tractor Supply has a similar style to that. Item #3200528 They also have some pendant style lights from Westinghouse using Xenon bulbs. They seem pretty nice. We may get some for the horse stalls in the barn.

    Griotts garage lighting

The six tube lights are T-8's. Since the 2 tube is a small version of the 6 tube, I'd think they'd also use T-8's in that fixture. from Griot's: The six T8 fluorescent lamps produce 21,246 lumen even when mounted to a 9 foot ceiling this fixture produces over 150 foot-candles of light on a 42"...

Home Depot cut & threaded iron pipe, but thread does not have taper

There should be 11 threads cut onto the pipe. The ones pictured that were threaded for you only have 9-10 threads. Thats why they seem tight from the start.

Is there a specific direction recommended for a union connection in an air line syste

No, it would be better on the bottom of a vertical connection. That way it doesn't interfere if component are being removed or reinstalled. Its a convenience thing. There really is no right or wrong.

    Help with framing storage area.

Maybe I'm different, but how much access to this space do you expect to have? Or need? With all that framing, it doesn't look (based on the pictures) like much room will left to put a tote up there. I think you'd have an easier time doing whats shown on here. I believe similar items can be had...

Craftsman power tool Return Policy needed for 10 years ago?

They did and still do offer the lifetime warranty on hand tools, but never did on power tools. Power tools may have had a 30 day or 90 day warranty.

    Table saw running fast

I would think the only thing that would effect the speed would be if you put a lighter blade on it. But only if it had a large heavy blade on it previously. It probably only sounds faster because of a gear whine or worn brushes. If that model has braking when shut off, it will just spin for a...
