Why won't the wire wheel fit on my angle grinder?

You would think a 4" wheel would work on a 4.5" grinder. Personally, I don't keep the guards on my grinders. I also prefer the cupped wire wheels also. How doesn't it fit? Does it not project out of the guard enough? Washers/shims may help that. Or is the diameter the problem? Acetone or...

    My neighbors are unbelievably stupid!!

Opossums aren't cute animals. ***** are, but I don't like either of them rummaging around my house and yard, getting into garbage, knocking flower pots over and destroying things in general. When I was a kid, one night a opossum was attacking some of our outdoor cats kittens. Killed four of...

It looks to be a stud mount bearing, which doesn;t come apart. Look at http://www.mcmaster.com/ pages 1086-1091. Using the hex and slots on yours, you should be able to remove the stud from the guide mount.

Advice on converting bandsaw 3phase-1 phase

If the overload on the contactor is a piggyback style(I believe it is) you'd need to get one that matches the amp rating of your new motor. Also eliminate one leg of wiring (L3, T3) from the On/Off switch all the way to the motor. Also change the wire on the input side of the multi tap...
