    Craigslist add of the day

I suspect he might have put an extra 0 in there (seen that mistake more than once) Then again maybe the wood stand is made of Agarwood (often thought of as the most expensive wood in the world) :)

    Scored on some Oak Cabinets

Very cool. Knowing what i have in my kitchen, I'd probably mount those in my kitchen and move my kitchen cabinets in my garage. :)

    Rubbermaid FastTrack or Closetmaid shelving?

I know this doesn't answer your question about the commercially available products, but for about 25% of the cost you can easily make your own shelves. Just screw some furring strips horizontally on your wall and go from there. Those products are real nice but man, they are expensive.

    work benches... from scratch

How precise do you need to be when lining them up? Simple idea is to just move them together and use a clamp on the legs to hold them snug. A more polished method would be to make some wood joints. It's really your call. If you ever need to clamp something down and you don't have a deep...

4 foot fluorescent "shop light"??? $4 clamp light I really like LED lights, but I can't bring myself to buy something when the light fixture I have still works.

    Sears Craftsmman Circular saw help

I think that is correct. You can see a dark spot near that center hole. Almost seems like something (the spring) rubbed a dark spot.

    Looking for quality pegboard hooks

What about your local hardware store? I've heard that it's best to go with the heavy duty/larger pegs and not the 1/8" size (less wobble). Craftsman has a set of hooks that are coated so they stay in the pegboard. You can also buy hook locks and/or bushings to hold them in place. Lastly...

    work benches... from scratch

You could "marry" up another couple of scrap pieces of 2x4s under the work surface to support the vice mounting screws. Just glue n screw the 2x4s into the legs n frame. :)

    I'm building a bench.

If you want real rustic, I think the December issue of Popular Mechanics had a very basic writeup about a guy that makes park benches out of logs and a chainsaw. http://www.popularmechanics.com/home/how-to-plans/woodworking/build-a-bench-with-logs-and-a-chainsaw

With a little creativity, you could combine your favorite tools and use your cordless drill to open wine. :bounce: :)

Can someone show me the bottom of a empty 40 - 42" drawer

Maybe the next morning, but not on the same night you find it. A man can't do much of anything after one of them kind of nights or at least he can't do anything well (so my friends still remind me about :))

    rejuvenate velcro?

$2 worth of velcro from the dollar store and a lil bit of thread might do the trick. I have an old duffel bag that I kept replacing the velcro (wife always said..."you know we have about a half dozen more duffel bags you can use" but it didn't matter to me because I wanted to get my moneys...

Wasn't there already a thread on here about the topic of bottle openers? :bounce: :) Actually, mine is a pair of cheap $1 scissors with a bottle opener. (scissors have come in handy, too :))

    Storing Nuts and Bolts ?

Re: Storeing Nuts and Bolts ? If I were starting all over with a clean slate and nice budget, I'd be inclined to do what the hardware stores and what radio shack does: Group similar items in shallow drawers that contain lots of bins.

    "hanging" garage shelves

Did a lil internet search. These don't have doors, but those wouldn't be too hard to make.

Any idea for a 50's looking work bench

Isn't there a website with government auctions? I think I saw a bunch of steel desks and cabinets on one of those auction sites before. Stuff screamed post WWII government architecture.
