Rolling Over A 30' Boat Hull

Short of renting a Lull or small crane, I'm out of ideas but that is cool as hell that you are building a 30' boat in your garage. The wife and I have talked about building a 20'-ish for years. What whill it look like when finished?

    Anchor bolts into concrete driveway

Agreed. only in solid concrete. But, since they are removable, I figured the OP might find them useful.

    Anchor bolts into concrete driveway

Here is another alternative. They are reusable, and removable. Basically like a giant TapCon. https://www.hilti.com/c/CLS_FASTENER_7135/CLS_SCREW_ANCHORS_7135/r6271

    Emergency/survival tools

A few items I have in my bag that you might find useful. Mine isn't really a bug out bag, but more of a Oh **** bag Leatherman Wave LED flashlight, with spare batteries. Emergency radio- mine also has a usb port so it can be recharged or can also be used to charge your cell phone. folding...

    The answer is probably no!

Anything Kiddie with a plastic valve was recalled. They will give you a brand spanking new metal valved one. They replaced one of mine last year, I think it was a late 1990s model.

Propane tank still has gas, but not coming out

You likely just tripped the internal safety. Just hook it back up and open the valve really slow. If you hear a click, it tripped again. Shut the valve, wait a minute, and go slower.

Workbench build using H.F. 44 inch tool boxes

Very similar but a little longer. I ended up with 4 boxes and they total about 9' long. Here is a pic in my current garage. New garage is still under construction.

    Electric Requirements for new shop

I'm building a new house right now and I asked the builder to include a 100A disconnect coming out of a 300A main panel for future electric needs. That is on top of the several dedicated circuits he is running in the garage for tools I already know about (table saw, air compressor etc.) I'm...

    Epoxy Anchor installation

Properly installed epoxy anchors, the epoxy bond is stronger than the all-thread. You will break the rod before you pull them out.

    Epoxy Anchor installation

Agreed. It is hard to beat a piece of all-thread and epoxy. That is a proven system that gets used every day on commercial construction projects all over the world. We use mainly Hilti but Dewalt products are not bad, it is just hard to get the epoxy out if it is cold when using a standard...

    Epoxy Anchor installation

Engineering and technical data from Hilti in the link. https://www.hilti.com/medias/sys_master/documents/h37/9112999657502/ASSET_DOC_LOC_1544930_APC_RAW.pdf The epoxy will bond with the hole in the concrete just fine but it will have to be clean. Brush it out and blow compressed air in to...

The last Sears in all of SW Ohio will close by the end of the year. Just about the end of a dying legacy.

Gun cabinet in garage... in a humid state?

I would not. I would want better security than a garage provides. That said, I have a small safe in my garage for my carry pistol. The rest are in a safe in the basement.

    SDS drill 1-1/4"

It will be slow, but should work fine. A while ago I had to drill some 7/8" holes and all I had was an antique spline hammer drill. I would have killed to have a standard SDS drill with me that day. That took quite a long time to drill 4 holes, but it was eventually done.

    Design challenge

You're not replacing the column without getting an engineer involved, but I'll push you in the right direction. Get some steel channels, Probably C12x20.7 or heavier and put them on each side of the wood beam. 20' channels minimum centered on the column location. Drill holes through the whole...

    Heck of a spammer

I just don't understand the point behind it. None of it is in English, so this is nothing but gibberish as far as most of us are concerned.

    Garage storage cabinets

He most likely just missed it. With this forums lack of notifications/Likes/quote notifications. I think GJ got their software from 2001 and never updated it. :lol_hitti Makes it hard to keep up with responses. Heck, even Thehighroad updated their software a couple of years ago. I never thought...

Any structural engineers here? I-beam/Trolly question!

Crane beams need to be rated for impact loads not UDL loads listed in the 15th edition. That said, a W10x22 should be more than sufficientand won't cost that much more.
