    Husky 1/4 breaker bar age.

Pawn shop pickup. Didn't even try to read the brand, just figured it was an "older one". Surprised when I saw it was a Husky brand. Also marked CM 50, Made in USA. Any idea on it's age?

    Odd Bar Clamp?

Picked these up at an estate sale this past weekend. Amazingly.....just today :lol_hitti I noticed on one of them the static end is the "wrong" end. I have seen and used lots of this style of clamps and can't remember ever seeing one where the adjusting end wasn't the tightening one. Could...

    Fulton adjustable wrench

I've got this 6" adjustable that's marked FULTON and MADE IN GERMANY. Everything I'm finding on Fulton leads me back to pre-Craftsman Sears tools. There's even a thread on here in regards to identifying another type of wrench as a Sears product. However I can't find any of these Sears tools...

    1800's Disston saw.

I posted a thread about an old wooden tool box I picked up at a church sale this past weekend. Here's the link to that post. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=213621 I've been slowly trying to ID and date some of the tools. My first thoughts were that the contents would be...

    Old wooden tool box

Picked this up today at a local church tag sale. I certainly wasn't the first person there, so I was surprised when I came across it. And for the asking price of 5 dollars, I didn't bother haggling. The box measures about 18 x 8 x 6 inches and is all dovetailed. The pictures of the contents...

    Craftsman cantilever tool box..

Got this at the flea market today for 2 dollars. A little rough and missing a "buckle" on one of the latches. Also missing a cover for one of the top trays. Don't know the age, but doubt it's very old due to the Craftsman logo appearing to be glued on. Any suggestions as to what to use to fab...

    Old wrench question.

Picked up some old wrenches today. The bottom one is a Bonney, the next one I believe is a J.H. Williams & Co. and the third I do not know. The Williams reads 1/2 and 7/16 and the Bonney is a 9/16/ and 1/2. The Williams really measures about 13/16 and 5/8. WTF? Can anyone explain this? Also is...

    Snap on ratchet help.

I got this up 3/8 ratchet today from a guy I'm hoping to buy some other tools from. Bought this as an "ice breaker". Can anyone help me date it? The marks on it are - SNAP-ON GF7208 USA and they wrap around the handle. I gave him 10 bucks for it. There was a 3/8 Thorsen socket on it that he...

    Old tire gauge..

Got this from an old-timer back about 1970 when I was a kid. Found it while going through some boxes I've had packed away for years. Don't know how old it is...40's-50's? Still has the original pouch...most of it anyway. It's a little crusty but it still works.

    My 3 drawer Husky..

Picked one up today at HD. While I often drool over some of the posts here...due to my lifestyle and interests, I will never end up with the garages and tools a lot of you have invested in. But one thing I have taken away from this place is the realization that I am totally unorganized. I've...

    Old little tool..

Dug this out of a box of old tools I've had kicking around forever. It looks to be a small perpendicular ratcheting screw driver... Whatever...I thought it was kind of neat. Any advice on how to go about cleaning it up?

    Stanley !/2 drive set.

I picked this set up yesterday at an estate sale. Never saw this type of ratchet before. I use a Craftsman tool set that has 1/2 drives. I only bought it 'cause the price was right. It came with 4 of the infamous Sears/Japan box wrenches too.

    New guy...Big vice..

Well..big to me anyway. I picked this up yesterday. I basically bought it as a favor for a guy. Due to a physical disability the owner just wanted it out of his garage. I gave him 20 dollars for it. It's a Parker 974 1/2. I don't know how old it is. I believe a member here had a great thread...
