    Tool box production year?

Picked this up this Sears box locally for cheap today. They aren’t the toughest or best by a long shot but always liked the way they looked. Hoping someone remembers about what year these rolled out. I like to print the original ad for certain tools I pick up. Appreciate any help.

    Old Craftsman crackled paint

Has anyone been able to emulate the blue crackled look on anything they’ve sprayed? I have a couple boxes that I’d like to eventually respray IF I can dial it in to be dead on, hoping someone has already figured this out but I bet it’s a long shot.

    Long C Craftsman Box

Thanks, Luckily the type of rust on it hadn’t gotten deep yet except for on the bottom and front. CRL with a scrubber really worked well, took the wire brush bit to it lightly to get the deep stuff out.

    Long C Craftsman Box

I recently bought a long carpenter’s box and a short , fairly common box locally. I spend a little time and elbow grease restoring the long box. It was completely covered with surface rust to the point that I think the seller thought it was toast but I was a few methods to remove most of that...

    Stanley Rule

This Stanley 86 came into my life about 4/5 months back and I do collect certain tools but I’m not a big rule guy even though I have several that I’ve found here and there. I’d like to get this into the hands of a collector that would love to own it but Facebook marketplace is usually a waste of...

    Keuffel and Esser folding rule?

Here are a couple close up pics of the surface. Has a slicker surface than my stanley 86 which is ivory so I’m not sure on this. Gave it a light cleaning and the slicker surface surprised me.

    Keuffel and Esser folding rule?

Elderly friend of mine gave me this rule today bc she knows I like old tools. I’m curious to why a New York made rule would have a Germany marking. Also what material do you think this is?

    Union machinist box restore

Hello all, I did a partial restore on this Union box that was all but destroyed when I found it, almost to the point that I didn’t bother but I can usually put a shine on a nightmare. I didn’t go all the way with it bc I was planning on using it like my other daily tools then I found another...

Complete Dewalt amf radial saw work station

I’m going to be attempting to sell this Dewalt work station soon. I love it but it’s just not something I’ll use in my line of work. I know these things don’t bring much but where do you all suggest listing it? The table and saw was sold as one big unit and I have all the original paperwork...

    Old vise brand

Does anyone recognize this vise? Came with a big tool lot going all the way back to 1900, most tools were from 30s/40s. No4000 on the side.

Did Sears ever sell Plomb WF rats?

Came across this thread and found it interesting. I came into a huge tool lot from three generations, one of which men I’m pretty sure worked in an auto plant up north. This set was amongst that lot.

    Stanley #86

Hello all, glad to be here. I recently came into a decent sized tool lot. My neighbors husband died about a month ago and she wanted everything in the garage gone asap so she could park in it. I was staining an exterior door over there one day and she asked if I was interested in a couple work...
