Racedeck Track Design and epoxy floor cracking and Free Flow vs. Diamond question.

Freshly scrubbed and mopped by my 12 year old... Dried, mostly, after mopping with Racedeck's Tile Renew stuff. It does clean up better when I can hose it down, but my floor drain is frozen since it's been abnormally cold this year, so spring cleaning will have to wait until spring.

    Stripped out lug nuts> SOAB

http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=all&item_ID=641889&group_ID=675681&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog After AeroKroil and the Mini Inductor both failed for me. I've used a 3' cheater pipe with them, and they took it out. First time I ever thought I was going to break my 1/2"...

Racedeck Track Design and epoxy floor cracking and Free Flow vs. Diamond question.

It's after. Nothing stays new forever. When I get it cleaned up again, I'll snap a new shot. My floor has seen over 500 vehicles of varying degrees of repair, and it would be a dream for it to still look new. I am very pleased with how Racedeck wears though. For plastic flooring, it's some...

Racedeck Track Design and epoxy floor cracking and Free Flow vs. Diamond question.

As a reference, my floor sees heavy abuse daily. Living in the rust belt, everything is messy. End of day clean up still leaves the floor looking good, but I'm due to order some replacement tiles again. Here's a shot after a 15 year old rusty jeep got a new engine, rear end, all new brake...

Racedeck Track Design and epoxy floor cracking and Free Flow vs. Diamond question.

I meant floor drains. I have a 3' trench style drain under my free flows. Where the dog sits, and up front gets the worst abuse. The only chemical damage I've ever experienced was from brake fluid. It softened and made 4 tiles curl like a floppy frisbee.

Racedeck Track Design and epoxy floor cracking and Free Flow vs. Diamond question.

I'm at 2 years with my Racedeck in a working shop and will say in my experience, limit free flow to drain areas only. Junk falls in them, and you can't vacuum it out, unless you like taking the floor up regularly. I reduced the size of my free flow area for that reason. The 3 major things...

SO make pass thru sockets ?

I have the Blue Point set. http://store.snapon.com/Pass-Thru-So...--P646622.aspx I use them all the time on struts - you can't use a wrench when the nut is down in the strut mount, and you can't put a socket on the shaft if you use a regular deep socket. Also they come in handy for sway bar...

    Least used Snap On Tool.....

I have that socket too - have yet to do a Subie head gasket job. My Atech is 3/8 drive, so I'm trying to figure out if it will even be a help lol.

My 1023 got dropped off today. Still trying to find a home for everything. My lockers won't be here until mid-January....

    Cleaning Brake Caliper Clip Lands

I've used Roloc, wire brush, scraper, wire wheel and files, and glass bead blasting. Depends on what's closest, how bad they are, and if the customer is waiting. I only have the big needle scaler, so it's reserved more for cleaning up drums or rotor vents.

stick or metal build which is cheapest

Any time I crunched the numbers, stick framed with smart panel won. OSB and shingles are typically cheaper, but I went 4' oc with my trusses, and metal was just easier. If I remember correctly, it was about a wash price wise.

    Prep for Wine Cellar

I'm just taking a shot, but plastic, covered with hardi backer? I read a lot on Kerdi when I did my shower, but just bought a fiberglass floor pan and put plastic on the studs before the hardi board.

    RaceDeck Tuffshield or Regular Diamond?

I can't comment on the TuffShield, but I've abused my RaceDeck diamond for 9 months now and just made an order to replace some casualties. Some suffered from welding splatter, a few from dropped items leaving puncture wounds, but most are from hot items that were either torched off or fell...

    PE gas line

That's their thought - and typically the conduit is exposed to air at one end or the other. That said, I still use conduit, but more as a protective sleeve, and terminate it outside of the structure.

    peterbilt project

Subscribed. I've been out of the truck for 7 years and still miss it at times. I considered buying an older 379 to rebuild... I have a while before my youngest will be out of school.

    Help with tool box sizing

I have 2 USG 42" boxes, 1 side drawers, 2 lockers, and 1 top cabinet. While not every single drawer is packed, I can't fit a lot of items due to the small drawers. I'm moving into a KRL1023 with a side locker and a docker locker. I figured I'd have at least 10k cubic inches extra space, and...
