Lets make an all vintage Snap-on tool picture thread!

Posted in the Vacuum Grip thread too. Truly Vacuum Grip, or just Snap on? Either way, a new acquisition. I always wanted a snap on set of drum brake pliers, but all the years I pulled wrenches, I never bought a pair. Just used old Craftsman ones. Now, the dream is realized. Interesting date...

Who made this air hammer bit?

Might also have been made by OldForge. They made a lot of those various bits for others. Been a while since I have seen that one.

Global Industrial Extra Heavy Duty Boltless Shelving - Reviews?

We use a lot of them at work and store a fair bit of weight on them (machine shop). I have used them personally too, from different sources. I like the boltless type, they do the job just fine and are easy to set up. The MDF shelves are not spectacular. simply because they are MDF, but you...

Walker Turner Foot Feed – Need Some Help

Yeah, the dimensions make it tough. You could probably approximate and get it functional. We had one of those at my old job, but most of the foot feed was long gone. Just the guide bracket on the column and a couple other bits were left. I forget if that control rod is straight or bent...

Walker Turner Foot Feed – Need Some Help

While these are not the original, I think they are functionally similar to what you are looking to replace. https://www.mcmaster.com/products/rod-ends/rod-ends-1~/swivel-shaft-rod-ends-5/ or a studded heim joint...

Stop roll pins from walking out?

If it was me, I would see about redoing the joints with semi-tubular rivets. https://www.rivetsonline.com/semi-tubular-rivets/steel-zinc-plated-oval-truss-head-rivets These allow a pivoting joint with full rivet retention because only the semi-tubular end is upset in the process. The shaft...

    Help wiring this old generator

In case you need more info on the genset, check out WINCO's website. It was mentioned recently in another WINCO thread and I downloaded all the manuals for my 60's WINCO FireFighter unit. I was quite surprised by how much info they had (everything), and its free...

Lets see your vintage shop work lights

Neat light. I have a very similar one I found in the bottom of a cardboard barrel in a very old apple orchard barn. I can't get to it right now, but I'll have to take a pic of it once I can access it. Very similar handle and same style cage attachment. I have the LED edison bulb in it too...

    Flott 604 1940ish Drill Press

That trick can work particularly well if you use a Continental serpentine belt that has the textured backside. It is a grippy surface. Not all Continentals do, but there is an advantage there with that design in this application. Just a thought
