    Watch garage sales also for #1M/T stuff , still lots of it around, and it is still sold new. Last year i found a whole set of M/T drill bits in #1 M/T, all Butterfield, for $10.00.

    I'd definetly take that apart, to check it out, may not be much at all, could even be just dried up grease or? Have no clue about the spring though. Nice old rewinder, good quality.

    Nice drill press, and great deal on the table for $35.00! Not sure excatly, but that drill press is from somewere in the late 30's -40's. Should be a good workhorse.

    Doubt if they were oiled originally, so i wouldn't bother yet.

    Why not as posted, just wash the filter -filters out in warm soapy water, dry them out once they appear clean, a gentle blow in the correct direction will help some, then reinstall. Good chance that is all they need and once you wash them out you'll know if they have deteriorated at all , then...

    That grinder is the "International" brand of General, made off shore to i suppose their specs. Probably work fine, but just don't try to "hog" metal with it, used within it's means will probably be ok.

    replacement blade for Craftsman band saw

    Blade length depends on the head top wheel and the bottom wheel and can be different on any bandsaw. I wouldn't bother with Sears, as posted just measure and then go to a saw shop they'll weld you up one or a few,of different tooth counts if you prefer, and you'll get a better quality blade. JMO.

    Telescoping inspection mirror

    What about using one of those 3inch? dia back up mirrors that glue onto your passenger side mirror.? I might try this myself, think they are called "Wide Spot" or similar? They do really stick.

    The Vise (Blue One ) posted back at post #12081 is a polish or where ever Bison Vise. I have that same vise in a 5 inch, nice vise, very smooth. Bison stuff is usually good quality at least in machining items they produce. Not sure if they're still made, but i believe those vises,, at least...

    The second drill press posted sure looks to me like one of the older offshore taiwan presses that were sold years ago. (Just sayin,, some of them actually worked quite good, still is quite a few of them in use.)
