    For the Canucks here:

In my opinion,, to me these deep discounted items appear to be part a "Tool Wars" Thing going on against other sellers. One thing i will say, tools have never been so cheap, i have never seen anything like this over the past decades, i keep saying there is no reason for an average homeowner...

    For the Canucks here:

Wondering, what your'e opinion is of the Canadian Tire Flyers ads concerning the posted Manufacturers List price? Some of the discounts on their sale items in the flyers seem a bit overblown to me. Like on sale for only $125.00, our regular list price $399.00. Your'e opinion?

    milling vise size?

That 6 inch vise will weigh around 100lbs, i wouldn't want to move anything bigger than that. If that is what Grizzly says, you have the correct size i guess.

Seven Corners Hardware (St. Paul) to close

Sad situation, but a sign of the times, with the never ending battle for the $$$$$ by the big box stores moving in and selling more and more disposable **** that isn't worth fixing. I too remember reading their ads for years, never bought from them, being from Canada.

your local hardware store vs. box stores

All this stuff with the big box stores moving in and gradually taking over is a sad situation. In my area , i,m 35 miles from a bunch of big box stores, and i boycott them. I drive past them another couple of miles and go to a family run large hardware store that has been in business since 1952...

Why does it take so much?

Quite a saw set up, never seen one driven like that. Where is the top guard for that saw? Buzz sawing round wood is about the fastest way to cut up stove wood, -with a properly guarded saw, but that thing is just asking to get hurt.

Why does my 10" CM table saw only use 6" dado blades?

Not really sure, but think it has something to do with RPM, and Surface feet per minute.

How would you clean up these bastards?

Straight vinegar is my favourite, as posted wash off with hot water, then scrub the black off. ( I have left mine in for 3-4 days with no problems, other than the vinegar seems to get kinda stinky, but it really works. I have put another batch of old wrenches etc back in to soak in old batches...

How to remove a broken bolt?

"Sometimes",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Drilling the center out with a left hand drill bit will loosen it and back it out. Is this in aluminum or cast?
