Have the 10 inch sliding miter saw, noisy gears but works fine. Also have the 4 1/2 inch disc grinder for 10 years tough little grinder still works great. Also have the milling machine , the one with the bigger table, 1hp, works real nice.

Beta i wondered about the keyless chuck also holding. The screwdriver idea is a creative one though. a REAL impact driver!! Lol

Re: Metal blue print/map drawers Not sure how much weight they are rated for only holding blue prints, but a guy here that makes jewelry keeps lots of small parts/ pieces in two or three of them. Heard they are quite expensive new, so for $25.00 that's a deal.

If you aren't in 100% right now, watch garage sales for USA made bits. Usually they go pretty cheap. My favourite is "Butterfield", but i'm hearing lots of good reports about "Triumph" drills made i think in Wisconsin.

Guys wonder if you can give me some info on this new drill chuck i came across? The chuck # is #64-J9,, 1/8-1/2 cap. The chuck has a 1/2 inch drive socket hole in the rear instead of a M/T or threaded. The chuck is brand new unused still in the original box, and wrapped in the brown paper...

Son has one of the General scopes, we just used it today looking at #5 cyl in a ford 4liter, that is pumping oil, good clear pic, and yes the end dia. is about 3/8.

If that chuck is threaded on it is a model 42 i think. looks the same as one i have.

Bought one years ago and never have used it. Learned to sharpen by hand and with a drill angle gauge, way faster and nicer in my opinion.

I'd keep the filter/muffler/silencer inside the building. enclosing it in something will make a big difference.

One thing i forgot to ask, i'm presuming the head has a morse taper socket instead of an R8 ? Point to consider is,, R8 tooling is everywere, reasonably priced, much more common the morse taper stuff.

Probably a taiwan built model, they sold tons of those. The round column is a no no to many due to loosing the set up if you have to raise or lower the head part way through a job. However some guys have them, and there has been some amazing work done on those machines. The price will vary by...
