Another stand that came into scrap yard with nothing mounted on it Was quite tall so I cut it down with 4" grinder and bolted a plate to the top . Another one that has good patina.

Great job! Love the color and that you powder coated it. I just completed a 1940-50's 10" Black and Decker. Stand was off a big 3 phase grinder at scrap yard. I hated to get rid of patina on stand so used Penotrol.

So I do need 2 wires to one side of capicator? Do you have any thoughts on specs for a new capicator? Want to replace as long as I have it apart. Thanks

Here is how it was wired. I know the black should go to and from switch. As I stated it did work but old wiring is mess.hope this pic helps

Doing a resto on vintage black and decker 1 h.p bench grinder. It does work but after disassembling it wiring does not look correct. Previous owner had been replaced some wiring and just does not look correct. Capacitor has only 2 spades but has 3 wires, 2 on a spade and 1 on the other spade...

I could use some help on this 10" black and decker Capacitor size and how to remove inner flanges. Also how hard to take armature out and reassemble. Thanks Bill

Now that winter is here starting on a old 10" Black and Decker grinder. Have a few questions. First. Is it worth pulling motor completely apart for sand blasting the housing ? Bearings seem good and motor does work. If so how do the inter wheel flanges come off. 2nd . Does need to be rewired as...

Just traded a small vise for this large Reed. Was frozen up so spent a couple days cleaning and getting everything moving. Would like to replace jaws on this vise. Are they pinned on to the top of jaws? In picture there seems to be pins. Any help with this would be appreciated . Thanks Bill
