This actually happened to me once as well! Trouble light was blown and garage was dim. The first test drive was FRIGHTENING. Metal on metal sounds really bad. Luckily no real damage done.

The Sunnex sockets are Taiwanese and excellent impacts sockets. I have a set I've been using 20 years now with no issues.

Like most tool related questions, it depends on the expected usage. If only to be used on rare occasions, cheap ones should be OK. If you were working on large diesel or farm equipment daily that required these, I would recommend a higher quality set. I would think for most handy man type...

Nice! the older Denons were real powerhouses, nice discreet amps-not chip/OP amps like today's 5 pound receivers. The NHT are also great budget speakers. I'm sure the garage sounds great!:thumbup:

This point is exactly what made me throw out a basement worth of "stuff" 15 years ago. When you get to a point that you either forgot you had a part or worse can't find it because of the clutter, its time to clean it out!:lol:

+ 1 on the VIM. They are the OEM for MAC. Also should look at GENIUS if you can find them. Both brands are very decent Taiwan made gear for sensible prices.

Sunex make some nice sockets at a reasonable price. A step up from HF for not much more $$

I have had a set of Sunex impacts for close to 20 years now, they are printed but they have not worn off yet. Excellent sockets -especially for the price .
