    Because its in a two car garage and i park a car under it.Only bring it down when i need to work on a car.So most of the time there is no load on it.

    Not exagerating at all. Takes a very long time to to come down. Like i said before sometimes id rather pull out the old jack rather than use the lift cause of this reason.Its very frustrating.

    No i dont have that sliding jack. When i need to lift the tires a use a few 2x12's across both run ways and use a jack on top of the wood. Works great.

    Babco quoted me almost $5000 for my Bend-pak HD9ST. I bought it for $2400US. Had it shipped to a terminal in buffalo (shipping included in that price). Went to go pick it up and paid roughly $300 in taxes at customs. I saved almost half from buying it in Canada.
