    Commercial ceiling fan switch question

True Ffs... I highlighted the mechanical resistance garbage but that whole thing is really word salad. How about we not quote AI garbage that we can't validate? And if we can validate it, then it's not garbage. But if we can validate it, we should be able to link to actual sources with legit info.

Shipboard machinery is the reason I don't bother to level anything in my shop. As long as the machine parts are square and flat, it'll make parts. Bed twist isn't a concern on my 10ee.

    Overspray Cleaning/Removal

It's going to be a pain either way. A pain in the arms or a pain in the ****. I agree with giving them the opportunity to make it right. Of course, if this was a discounted paint job, they might say pound sand.

    Overspray Cleaning/Removal

If it's fresh, acetone will wipe it off but you'll want to re-wax right after if that's your thing.

    Diy bandsaw fence suggestions?

You can square the fence with a combo square then clamp it there. But, yes, it's easier with some sort of rail.

Accurate is pretty easy. Just need a curved top surface and the ability to adjust. Precise is, or should be harder. I've had an import in my Amazon cart for a few weeks now. I'm not really all that concerned with exactly how precise it is as long as it can be adjusted.

    Diy bandsaw fence suggestions?

Simplest is a board and a c-clamp. From there, the sky is the limit. I've adapted a fence from an old import table saw. The nicer ones I see have a better rail and clamp, about like you'd find on a table saw.

    Kreg Edge-Festool Domino Killer?

I think Matthias did a test of the strength that way and iirc, the was little loss in strength. I haven't seen any joinery comparisons since then with the dowel holes don't this way, but for side to end grain, I think it might bring the dowel closer to tenon strength.

    Kreg Edge-Festool Domino Killer?

I don't know what all was said in your other discussion but a tenon is not the same as a biscuit, even if they are being used that way much of the time.

    DIY fiber laser

I've had my plasma table for close to 15 years. It's had cut50d, cutmaster 42, and pm45xp. I can still see a nurse l need for the plasma cutter, but looking at what it would take to cut up to 8ga steel with a fiber laser, it doesn't seem that hard. Xyz is easy enough but the laser controls are a...
