If this is something that ends up being used twice a year, is a warranty really that important? If it fails on the third use and the warranty is already expired, it didn't really do much for you. Just run the retaining cap against a guide. It's 1" OD, IIRC, so it's easy to figure out how far away you need to be.

That would have been good info to put in the op. Changes the options a lot. So are you stuck on that style of switch? Because I don't think you're going to find what you are after in that style of switch. If you aren't stuck on that, lots of workable options have been suggested.

Like a "normal" light switch? Toggle and rocker switches do exist like that. I haven't seen something like a light switch like that but you could wire it to a contactor

I used to have a friend who was a big fan of plugged in online. She told me about the site and aside from it being a bit of a spoiler, it was great for finding all the movies with cussing, violence, and ****** to go see. She being "a bit" of a Bible thumper, was not impressed.
