My last pressure washer was designed the same way as this one and I agree, it isn’t ideal.

I don’t have any header wrap. I had headers on my CJ for a lot of years but got tired of replacing gaskets. Plus they probably don’t help much on a low rpm amc motor. I looked but I haven’t found 90 degree fittings for the pressure washer to be very available or inexpensive.

This was one of the reasons I ran regular pex in my shop. Plus the cost, need to straighten the coils of pex-al-pex, and I already had the tools and fittings for plumbing pex.

Good idea. Easy and seems like it would help. i think I’ll add a sleeve of garden or heater hose too. This is more work but also more idiot proof. I think I’ll do this if I melt this new hose.

my understanding is the switch was from evercraft to performance. The walls of Carlyle are being replaced soon with bins of Carlyle. The store I frequent still has a few evercraft in the clearance section at really low prices. And the Performance selection is larger plus better quality.

Seems like it was a pipe wrench but now it is scrap metal.

I end up pulling it against the exhaust. It seems like it only takes a second to melt the outer covering of the hose then it blows out. Though it could be that it is minutes and I just don’t realize it.

Anyone have a good strategy to avoid melting holes in pressure washer hose? I’ve done this twice now and would like to not do it again. Here’s my machine with its new hose

What about an old hvac fan? I kept the old one for my house when I had the hvac replaced. Just wired it up a few weeks ago and on the lowest speed, it probably moves 10x as much air as my box fan. I framed in the sides to hold half an air filter.

I would try again. Availability of that ratchet is still pretty low.

And used it for the first time today as my wife’s car has needed a jump a few times this week. Battery is just over a year old so I didn’t suspect it, but all symptoms pointed to the battery. This little tool made my day. Thanks guys!
