Hi, picked this up for a .25 today, anyone know what it is or who its made by and value?? or even the name of it? Thanks in advance. It has a cross with a star next to it.... perhaps something thats worn off it front and the number 2.

I bought this VISE yesterday for $4 at a garage sale. I'm having issues dating it and wondering what the value may be on a good day? Thanks!! It's a No.4 , mechanics VISE with Anvil.....on the bottom it says 43 1/2-3.

I'm not sure of the model number or year this may have been made. Instead if wood the grip and top is metal, I cannot find a tool # anywhere. Near the bit area it says Stanley inside a rectangle and SW inside almost a hear with made and USA on each side. Any help would be appreciated.

Got this today at an old barn ...$1. Any idea? Only marking I see is "heavy" on one side and other side has a 1 and a 10 below it on body of wrench. I'll clean it via electrolysis but wondering if any wrench expert could help me out first!

I'd it best to restore vintage tools or leave them grimey? I know with furniture patina is a good thing. Is it the same with vintage tools?? If cleaning them up is proper, what is the best way? Steel wool? Should they be repainted? Curious on peoples thoughts on this? I'm a novice collector but...
