Just wanted to say the absolute best way I have found to make forks glide across the carriage is Fluid Film. They glide like they are on ice. Makes a crappy job MUCH better

Is it a bad idea to use hitch pins instead of cotters through the clevis pin on chain hooks at the end of chains? Sometimes I need to pull a hook off to feed a chain through something, generally to chain it to a trailer, a hitch pin (I always called them Jesus clips) would make it much easer...
