    Solus Pro questions

I have done a search on here and have some unanswered questions. I have never had a scanner before just code readers so this is all new to me. How do I know what version of software it has? Does it matter what version of software it has? Does the software have to be updated to use it? Sounds...

    Garage ethics question

Here's my dilemma. My vehicle is in the shop for work. In doing the work, the mechani busted 2 taps. Should I be responsible to pay the labor for removing them? If its only 15 minutes, I don't care but I think its safe to say it will be far more than that. I have worked in garages for over 5...

    Snap On workstation/ riser

I am considering buying a riser for my 68" Epiq. Seems like the best bang for the buck for me. I realize it is basicly and empty box but I have a lot of tools in boxes taking up a lot of room in my box and this would be a good option. I have a few questions: 1. Do they hold up well? Any...

Snap On hard or soft Instinct handles?

I'm going to order a set of screwdrivers on Monday when the SO guy comes. I have no preference either way. Is one better than the other in terms of keeping them clean? That's going to be the biggest factor for me.

    Snap On seal puller

Anyone have any luck with Snap On's new heavy seal puller? We have an OTC seal puller at work which is pretty much useless. I'm considering buying the Snap On one but if that ***** too, I won't waste the money.

Snap On Epiq's on back order?

I ordered a Royal Blue 68" Epiq box 2 weeks ago (seems like forever ago) from my dealer. He told me trhis past Monday it wouldn't be here until August. I barely had time to throw money at him to pay on my tool account so who knows? Anyone know if they are on back order?

Sold a box for the Snap On guy

I was on the Snap On truck Friday morning and he had a 90th Anniversary Epiq box. Nice box and I've been wanting an Epiq box but this wasn't the one for me. I told him what I wanted a month or 2 ago and he said he had to get rid of at least 1 box before he could order another one. I came to...

Snap On battery impact guns are tough

A truck driver brought me my 3/8" battery powered Snap On impact gun today after it sat out in a light rain for 10 + hours. Worked great. That will teach me for not putting all my tools away. Had I put all my tools away and not left them in my cart, I would have seen that missing. Lesson...

    Wrench drawer organization

My tool box is getting smaller and a new tool box isn't on the horizon anytime soon. I need to reorganize to make more room, particularly my wrenches. Any ideas or suggestions? Pics would be a big help. I have some cut to length wrench organizers on the way.

    Matco Franchise

I saw a commercial on TV today looking for new Matco franchisees. I watch a lot of drag racing so it really didn't phase me. Then I realized I was watching baseball. Are they trying to keep from going out of business? Are they just trying to increse sales? I haven't seen a Matco truck in my...

    Snap On spline sockets

How well will they work on 12 point bolts. There is a heck of a deal on the size I need on Ebay but if it won't work on a 12 point bolt, it would be useless to me. Auction ends today. Catalog doesn't go into enough detail about it.

    Pawn shop score

12 SO metric sockets. 1 was 1/4" drive deep, 3 shallow 3/8" drive and 8 3/8" drive deep. Only 1 was older and only 1 was damaged (missing a little chrome). Came in a Mechanic's Time Saver socket holder that I gave to a co worker. All for $20.

    Snap On F712 rachet

Just bought 1 on Ebay and it arrived last night. It's in good shape but the Snap On script is certainly older. Nice rachet but certainly not a 80 tooth. Just curious if anyone has any idea when it was made. No date code on it. I'll try posting a picture but that usually doesn't work too well...

    Sears. What are they thinking?

Went into Sears last night to warranty a few tools. I certainly won't ever buy any from them again but that's another story. Guy in front of me wants to reurn a drill chuck. Drill size and chuck size are the same but won't fit. No big deal. Clerk takes him to get a different one. Clerk...

Looking for a 5/8" torque adaptor like this: http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=hand&item_ID=2211&group_ID=268&store=&dir=catalog It doesn't matter if it is 3/8" or 1/2" drive but 3/8" would be better. Nothing in catalog or online. Do they make such a thing? If so, what is...
