Lots of sales, passed o. A few things only bought this Kennedy 526 for $15. Decent shape, missing keys.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Excellent pick up bfm336, $15 for a Kennedy in that shape is a great deal.

Sale right by the house for a change. SK day for me.A SK SAE combo wrench roll complete to 1-1/4"' 2 SK 1/2" rats, one marked SK Wayne, the required Dewitt vice grips, Gearwrench flex sae ratcheting wrenches, a brand new in box KE Wyteface 100' tape, couple of pages of Channel lock pliers and cutters, padlocks and some other neat misc. Funny thing, I pick up a bunch of heavy master padlocks with keys attached, was carry around and e lady told me the keys didn't match those locks, at least she told me.

cbacres, great score on the SK wrench set complete and with the wrench roll to boot ! Around here I don't see too many wrench sets at sales that are totally complete like that, you did very well.

That Baldor deserves a yOU ****! good scores to the rest of you guys too! I stayed home today and ended up selling an organizer on CL. The guy shows up and we get to talking about old tools, vices and normal GJ talk and I mentioned this place. He tells me how he doesn't have much time to follow forums but is familiar with the site as he has researched vises and things here often. Real cool dude, I told him to post up if he gets a chance. You would not believe the cool old fab table he picked up, he showed me pics and said he was told it was a military Bomb assembly table. I'll see if he will post or send me pics and let me post them. It's beyond awesome!!

I love having conversations with other collectors/enthusiasts - especially retirees who may not be online. There is still a wealth of information out there that has yet to be documented and meeting & talking to people may be the only way to gather said info.

You guys are knocking it!

Pretty slow here, half a dozen planned stops only one with anything at all, and that's was where I got these;

Stanley Wood chisel, Brass upholstery hammer with one magnetized tip, and a folding wind up alarm clock.

I agree. I am more of a woodworker, and still a beginner, and I when I bought a good used (Bosch) jigsaw a few months back, I spent a half hour listening to how the guy had set up his basement shop. Nothing earth-shattering, but some great insight.

Right on guys, love talking to like minded people.

He just sent me pics of the table and permission to post it. Here is the table he owns, if anyone knows what this could have been made for post up! It's on heavy casters but lock by foot operated pedal so it sits static when working but can be moved easily. The top has lock pins that allow it to be rotated to access all sides from where you stand. It's about six foot wide with the bins included.

I don't think it's for pallet wrapping. Too much going on. Those trays are for something......maybe the big one is a quenching tray?

Just what I need for my block grinders:lol_hitti.
It would be a great fab table for sure.

Defintley built for working on something heavy and could very well be for bomb assembly. Maybe the bins are for bolts or rivets.

And the flanges on end could be where they connected train of them assembly line fashion?

My son and I did some trouble shooting on his car and my truck today and needed to make a parts store run. Plus, he needed some driving time on his learners permit...so we kept driving out to Dracut to a sale Jakemac scouted yesterday. I went in search of a Craftsman belt/disc sander and came away with a few more things.

Here's the sander, missing its Heritage logo plate and stopper bar for the belt. The plug wire is a fire hazard, so I don't know if it runs, but the 1/4 hp GE motor looks cool. I paid a bit too much at $50, but there were other things in my pile I will sell to offset it (more below).

Next was this 8 hp Sears rototiller for $40, stored in a shed it's whole life. The motor pulls over, but I haven't tried to start it yet.

This pile of tools was $20. Not pictured is a -1930s- +edit: 1950+ book on applied engineering that my son picked up.

Four grease guns, one no name, two Alemite Hydraulic Guns, mdls 5585 & 6556, and a China-made cheapo I should have left behind. The two Alemites came with a cool canvas bag.

Great job BlueBomber !
I went back there today as well. I was thinking about the Belt/Disk sander, I have the same model, but couldn't pull the trigger at that price. My plan was to part it out to the guys here that needed them. I'm glad it went to someone who will use it instead. It's a great machine when set up right.

The 103.08011 model was sold as both a Craftsman and a Dunlap. There are pictures out there of the same machines with either labels. The Cman had a Long-C badge and the Dunlap usually had just a decal. I saw the outline of the decal on that one, so I think that yours was sold as a Dunlap. It shouldn't be too much trouble to make a duplicate decal to put on it.

I can't tell you how many times I walked past that fridge, wondering if anyone was going to take it home.

You should have seen the anvil that they wanted way too much money for (that someone bought)
The stump it was strapped to was bigger than the anvil. It was a 114lb anvil on a 120+ stump.

Martin666, that Black Petersen vise grip looks sweet. Is it paint or did it go thru a vinegar bath?

Bluebomber: looks like we bought a similar belt/disc sander. Got mine for $65 loaded onto my truck, and off-loaded at my house. After looking at the owner’s manual, I’m pretty sure I forgot to get the miter guide and the Belt guard which I had seen sitting next to mine at the sale. I already tried to contact the seller, and will hopefully pick them up on Monday.

Mt_P, definitely not a vinegar bath, I've never seen one but it looks original to me, if someone painted it they did a great job, every nook and cranny is covered as smooth and even as can be

Good day for me, I got a few wrenches (not sure what the Atlas tool is really for, seems to be thread gage ??), a cool looking pruning shears, a Dunlap socket set, an old Stanley level for $15. Oh, and a little vise for $12.

You **** for that Parker vise. I'm still on the hunt for a November 22 Parker. Let me know if you want to trade for another Parker vise.

So a synopsis for my weekend was as follows:
Friday:
6 Peterson Vise grips (1-10CR, 1-10WR, 4-11Rs)
1 channel lock pliers
1 Craftsman 1/4" ratchet
Saturday:
2 Ramparts ramptop kits along with 2 8 foot 2x8s
1 small oil can
2 Petersen Vise Grips (1-7CR, 1-7R)
1 channel lock pliers
1 basketball court(I know, not a tool. For $20, I had to include it on this list, and the picture was pretty cool too once it was put to use)
1976 Belt/Disc sander for $65 along with extra sandpaper
2 custom sandpaper wall mounts
2 vintage wood clamps
1 cool Burwood shop clock minus the clock gears and numbers

Once again, I spent my morning chasing my tail. 5hrs of driving around and always feeling like I should have gone to the other sales first. The only tool related stuff I bought was a Plumb hatchet and an old Parks catalog for $1 each (Pic 1 - $2). I ended up spending more on toddler stuff for my 2yo nephew.

Things were looking up when I got home and checked the mailbox. This week I did a little "ebay therapy" and here's what showed up today.

Pic 2&3
A complete set of Williams combo ignition wrenches in the original roll. Pre-SnapOn.
and a #1194 2-1/4" triple-line wrench. That's a size 10 shoe in the picture, the wrench is 27-3/4" long. :yikes:

I've got an 1-5/8" Williams and a pair of other large wrenches on the way as well (from Balane's ebay alter-ego). They should be here on monday to clear away the blues.

I've had the pleasure of using that same size wrench before. Worked good for the bolts that held the undercarriage to the main body of an excavator:lol_hitti

I'm thinking about swapping it out for the baseball bat I keep handy. You know, for greeting midnight guests, because using my gun just doesn't give me that same warm fuzzy feeling. :ninja:

A month back, someone listed on our local CL that they had an old table saw and ad indicated that "it needs engine work".

Could tell from pics it was a Delta Rockwell Homecraft 9" table saw and model 34-600. Wasn't looking for a project, but emailed owner anyway to pass on the info on the model and approximate age of table saw.

Time went by and when returned from TX (i.e. love Round Rock donuts and TX BBQ Brisket), owner sent me an email saying they hadn't been able to sell and would I consider taking it instead.

On Saturday, stopped over and got it and current owners said they got it from a neighbor a year or so back, but said they never plugged it in. So, when got home, plugged it in and it took right off and ran well.

So, guess I do now have a project to work on this winter.

Mike

Time went by and when returned from TX (i.e. love Round Rock donuts and TX BBQ Brisket), owner sent me an email saying they hadn't been able to sell and would I consider taking it instead.

On Saturday, stopped over and got it and current owners said they got it from a neighbor a year or so back, but said they never plugged it in. So, when got home, plugged it in and it took right off and ran well.

So, guess I do now have a project to work on this winter.

Mike

Picked up this 20 ton press this morning, had competition so I had to grab it and bring it home in the back of a car, but the old Caddy didn't even know it was there! Wasn't passing it up for $60

I usually don't hit garage sales but this one said 90% tools and down the road so figured id stop. TONS of good stuff, S&K, Snap-on, name brand USA stuff. Guy was absolutely absurd on his prices though. But then he walked away and his wife came up to me and says.. "I don't know why he priced this stuff so high, you come to me if you want a price, just don't let him see"
So there was this compression tester set marked $40, I point at it to her, she says $10. So I got moving quick. Yada yada here's what I got.

-Century Tool compression tester kit (new?)
-snap on and matco screw drivers
-working shop light on a reel
-2 plomb wrenches
-S&K socket kit with some randoms
-all sockets in picture are S&K besides the 4 on top, they are snap-on
-7 gallon air tank
- also a set of snap-on needle nose not pictured (already in my box)

Got it all for $46. Could of got more but the husband started being in the way

Couldn't stay away from my neighbors tag sale. Bought all this... $3.00.

Bought the green English made pliers in honor of our British members. What are those odd shaped pliers? I LOVE the giant wrench.

Not puctured, an EXCELLENT Ducane all stainless grill. $65.
