Kinda surprised there isn't a new thread yet. So here it is!

Home Depot in Newark, DE (#1610) has the Husky 52" 18-Drawer Combo with a "New Lower Price" Tag of $528 on it. Still shows $598 on the website. Didn't have my phone to snag a picture, but will get one next time I'm out that way.

Thanks for starting a new thread. The old one was pretty long, a fresh start every 365 ain't a bad thing.

I went to my local HD, not many clearance items, except the 7 piece gearwrench standard and metric ratchet wrench set for $13 ea. I went and looked on shelf where they should have been. The new stock is either the 5pc for 19.00 or 10 pc for 39.00. They came home with me.

I bit on the 52 tonight darnit...in the middle of my 10th garage rearranging.

last 1 at my local store besides a dented one which they had only knocked 100 bucks off (a really good hit on the bottom frame too..so i passed on it).

Been watching it since christmas. Kept debating...to get more space than my old matco MB1320

http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=133655

which replaced a snapon kra3800 i freshened up

http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=103990

the old SO being my first decent sized tool box, my first ever being a weeny stanley lol 10 years ago.

In the end, home owner use, tons more space, no time to keep looking on craigslist like i have in the past...i bit, plus gift card helped. No room for 2 was going to sell the matco but now with what little i have in it the wife is thinking on putting it in my 5 year olds room for legos, action guys, etc =)

btw made in vietnam for those curious, i hate china stuff like the rest and really am trying to stay local if i can these days but home owner use....and i wanted the top hutch to open like this and be a usable shelf.

Thought about the dewalts but i need more small drawers than huge ones.

Also it seems only specific stores, i called one on the next exit up and they said regular price, 0 in stock, 4 on order. I like the drawer liners.

Drawers firm up once loaded up a bit and are smooth. Only the bottom 2 large ones are rolled at the top drawer side lips. Not sure of the gauge surely a bit thinner, they cut weight also by not having a solid bottom, the back may be a thinner gauge than sides not sure.

They haven't clearanced any of the remaining holiday packaged tools. Hodot I am dissapoint.:D

They just made a new section and put out new stuff like a set of taiwanese husky screwdrivers actually these drivers didn't look so bad for 9 bucks. Had to hold my wallet to make sure I didn't buy them but you guys feel free if you need some tossaways. Square shank though so you can't use them as sets...mother f-er! No really, the tips looked real good to me.

Picked up this M12 Milwaukee Rotary tool for 59.00. Was 99.99.
Frankfort, IL

I am not sure if it was a return as the box was open and there is not any polybag packaging inside.

That is the normal price now. It's a great deal if you buy it with the Dewalt or Milwaukee high end kit and return the bigger kit (receive a $150 discount for buying both). The cost comes out to around $38 and you get the tool, battery, charger and bag.

I thought the same thing when I bought mine, that it had been returned. The battery was in the tool but after checking multiple boxes in different stores, they all come like that.

I went in to see if my HD had these batteries, they did not. They did have a drill kit with two batteries, charger and carrying case for $79 so that is what I bought instead.

$75 is great for 4 Ah batteries. Not sure it will work but if it triggers the 150 promo/tool combo the battery will be 50ish. They will replace a dead-since-new compact Li battery and one worn big Li battery used for trimmer/blower.

Same deal here...I havent verified but I assume it would work with the 150 off combo.

I only use the oscillating tool and right angle drill in my Ryobi set, so 4Ah is overkill, but these might be too cheap to pass up

Can you advise what good uses they would be for?

I do have several pairs of the Vice Grip

Sure, they're great for things you need to grip that are different sizes quickly and easily that don't require maximum grip force. What that might be will be different for everyone.

For me, I will use them to clamp a ground cable to a ground rod, among other things...

So if the scaffolding can truly go 6' would 10' be considered reasonable working height?

I have a couple of these scaffolds (bought at tractor supply) and you can easily work on a ten or twelve foot ceiling with them. They can also be stacked to reach even higher. They are a bit wobbly so I bolt them together in addition to the spring snap lock. You can also order out rigger wheels and a safey railing when staking them.

Thank you! But if I wanted to run air (copper) and conduit over a 12' door I think this would be a stretch?

What do they go for at TSC?

I'm not exactly understanding this post and I can't find a link to a $150 off deal.
I also am not understanding the replace a battery part.

The markdown price of 75 or even less is a great value for TWO 4Ah lithium batteries if you have some Ryobi 18V power tools. The 150 off deal is a big multi page thread going on in the hot deals thread which is only good if you want a great deal on some power tools. It's very addictive thread and will drain your wallet but you know how it is with power tools (want versus need). Crappy Ryobi compact batteries that were DOA will be replaced with the bigger 4Ah batteries in this battery markdown for trimmer/blower use.

I'm 6'3" so I should get 12' to my head... probably a bit wobbly so I would think 10' for the average guy is easily doable. They are also skinny enough to wheel in and out of regular house doors.

Good tip on bolting, I figured you could also add a lower cross brace if you use it at max height... a notched 2x4 or angle iron should work for that.

So., are we speculating that if I buy $300 in batteries I get $150 off?

definitely not. Take a look at this thread and it will shed some light on what others are mentioning about $150 off. You can buy one of the 3 kits with the batteries and get $150 your purchase. The discount is split between the 2 items and you can return the kit. This gives you roughly a 30% discount on the price of the batteries.
