I went to my local Menards yesterday after work. Picked up a bunch of Masterforce and a couple gearwrench. I might go back tonight to see if I missed any. I loved paying no more than $2.20 per tool.
Well I ordered this and it came in. They sent one standard gear wrench 1/2" size and it is not even the double box end type. Geeze.
Now I'm excited.
Meg:
I stopped by the fargo menards and picked up 110 dollars worth of the gear wrench stuff

Do you have a price and # on the 6 PC ratchet set?

So, do you think all the other single piece's ( flex head and straight ratcheting wrenches) will go on closeout too. And the other sets they have?

Did you get my pm cjn1014?Your conversation:
Must be a regional thing, as the X-beam sets are full price and stores near me dont carry stubby sets or the 39 piece ratcheting screwdriver. If anyone has an extra 39 piece screwdriver set let me know, I wouldn't mind getting a set
Did you actually scan the tools? The ones in Champaign were not marked down but scanned as clearance.
Some of these bigger 4 piece GearWrench ratcheting box ends I've seen on here were still ringing up at $59, so I figured I'll keep my eye on things and wait 'til they clearance them out too.
Yeah, it was weird, they had 1 Allen and 2 GearWrench 4 pc double box end ratcheting that were fairly large sizes, but I also noticed a 3/4" socket set that was there last week for regular price.....now gone. Must've not been properly marked, and somebody got a steal on it.I'll be interested in those. What about the really big sizes greater that what's in the 4 piece sets? Those too.

I got a spare 6 piece Metric double box end racheting set for trade. Also a spare 17 mm stubby racheting for trade. I wasn't able to get the Masterforce SAE or Metric Crows foot sets and could use one of each. Could also use the bigger GW racheting screwdriver set as potential trades. Might also be able to use a quad box SAE or Metric set. Could also use a 16 mm stubby racheting as it turns out. PM me with what you have to trade if interested. thx- Paul

SK would kinda make sense with Menard's appreciation for all things Made in USA. Plus....I would like it.
When I talked to an employee in the tool section, he said Oct 1 was the day they were re-arranging the layout of tools and starting the new plan-o-grams. My guess is they'll still keep MasterForce because that's an established, Made in USA, store brand that identifies Menard's. Probably keep Performax and ToolShop too because they each serve a purpose.
