Jeff

You have to choose local pickup, then finish submitting the order (you won't pay anything at this time). You'll then receive an email not too long after with the shipping cost from Nicole Galarneau. The email had a phone number to call so I just have her a call to make the payment.

Just picked up my set
Got a tour of the shop. Impressive and functional are the two things that popped into my head as I was walking around the tons of machines that Claude uses and especially the ones he built /modified.

Really nice guy
Awesome shop
Grrat product at a great price

Well worth the 130 miles round trip!

Hey! Got to meet a GJ member yesterday. Always nice to meet someone with common interests. Like other members I have met, Saceone was a super guy.
Pierre,I hope your Dies will help you create cool projects. Make sure to post up when you've made something with them.

The shipping truck just left with 6 kits going to all you guys that are in need.
5 days for the US guys and 1 or 2 days for the ones in Canada.

I am awaiting confirmation on a few more. If I get them today your dies will be on a truck tomorrow.

Thanks for getting some Dies guys! Don't forget to share what you've made with the rest of us.

I have posted these pictures in another thread before. As per Saceone's suggestion, this project should be here also.

Hey Nasty, getting back to your Colchester, how has it been? Reliable? Any real issues?Break downs?

Do you use any cad software to program? I really like the layout of the machine and there is a really clean one on ebay right now. I have a product I may be manufacturing in the future so Ive been doing some research on small cnc lathes. Thanks again for taking the time.

Thanks again and I was so depressed when I came back to my shop, it's nothing compared to yours,
Cheers,

LoL! Don't despair. I first started with a flat screwdriver, a rusty set of pliers and a beat up claw hammer.. Takes years to build up, unless your born into money. Besides, there's a difference with a hobby shop and a shop you make a living out of.

Your not going to compete with me now, are you?!;)

It is a real trooper and is ultra precise. I would buy another tomorrow.
Using the bar pull, I have made runs of 7000+ parts with it running 10-15 hrs a day for weeks.
The only real issue has been with the spindle drive. Had it fixed when I first got it in 07 and it's acting up again now. I guess a couple of grand should have it fixed.:Twitch:
You need to have a really good quality coolant or it will rust.
I program the G code for it mainly manually, but I do have EZ cam I use when I get into curvy designs. Circular interpolation drives me nuts.
You will need some sort of editor in order to communicate between it and your computer.
The Fanuc 21iT controller is quite a good one.

The shipping guy just left with 3 more kits. Thanks guys!!

Looks like I'll be making Standard sized dies again soon.

LOL! No Sir! I've worked in machine shops for about 23yrs, about 10 cnc, Ive always wanted to own a couple small machines. I have a prototrak mill, but its just not the same without a tool changer. I don't mind MDI but I have good ol' mastercamm 9 also. I have a tool that I designed and am about to go through some beta testing, if that goes well, I hope to sell some and am weighing the options of making them myself or farming it out to a friend that owns a shop. As far as the Colchester, I was always a fan of the Clausing-colchester manual lathes. Getting an opinion from an actual owner/operator is far better than a machinery salesman or ebay ad. There is a Mori-seki nearby that is in fantastic shape also for the same price. Thanks again for answering my questions.

I received my set of standard dies on Monday evening, I'm extremely pleased with the quality! I'm going to build myself a bench top press based on a bottle jack and I'll be in business. Thanks again for an awesome product at a great price.

First off, Happy new year to all of you!!
I hope it finally snows here so I can sno shoe off the extra pounds of the holidays...

I'm really happy that all the die set reached all of you guys ok. I even got to have a great visit from an old fried who happens to be a member as well.
What a small world this is!
I'm eager to see what you guys do with them.

How do these dimple dies compare to the likes of barbed wire offroad dies at http://www.shop.barbedwireoffroad.com/?? It appears you get more sizes in the kit, but they aren't as hard so the barbed dies will work on thicker steel?

I suggest you go to the link in my sig line. all the specs are there.

Real nice and darned efficient willy (traer)! Did you start your rack before you got them?LoL

Slick.

This is what I did for mine.

Cheers!

Nasty,

Received an nice email from Nicole with contact information. I'll be calling her tomorrow afternoon with my order. (Pipe size dimple dies).

Thanks for helping, I understand you make the dies and orders go through the website. The site just wouldn't take my order for some unknown reason.

Great product, can't wait to use them.

-Ron

PS I'm not a MAC/Apple user.

NastZen, I had the same issue as Grouchyss. Please sent PM.

Pm sent.

Cool grill Rodz:thumbup:

Sorry about the issues guys, its out of my control. For now.
They take paypal now though, if that helps.
Despite that, you guys have left me with only one set of standard dies in stock, and have made a good dent in the pipe sized dies. Thanks a lot guys.
Any one made something with there dies yet? C'mon lets see what you made.

My son is expressing interest in maybe setting up a web site and maintaining it.
He's pretty busy in college so I don't know.
Any one out there interested in hosting my dies? I'm open to suggestions.

Nasty,

I received my dies last week and they are perfect !

Thank You.

I would recommend that you sell the dies thru ebay. Then you won't need a web site, just make sure you have plenty of inventory as your exposure will skyrocket !

Any updates on standard sized dies? You think they'd be fine on 20g .035 steel? I need to punch gussets for some cars

I should make a run soon and have them available sometime in may.
I still have 7 sets of pipe sized ones in stock. Guess I'll have to be making a run of those ones soon as well.
