Hello all - Happy holidays!
First production MaxJax unit has been going through testing. All is well - except for the fact that the lift was painted blue.
Interesting note. When our guys were installing the anchors they screwed up drilling the holes. They were in a rush and did not mark the holes correctly so the bolts did not line up with the recessed anchors. Well, they only got one recessed anchor and bolt in the backside of the column - there should be three. The rear anchors pretty much do all the work. We then proceeded to load the lift with 9,000 pounds with the arms fully extended. (Three, 3000-lb. bundles.) The one lonely anchor held firm and the lift worked flawlessly. See link below. NOTE: The hydraulic pipe exiting the rear of the column is not the correct set-up. They hard lined the install because they were in a rush and no need to quick-disconnect etc.

Should make all users feel a little more warm and fuzzy about the anchors doing their job.
All of us at BendPak wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.

P.S.
Please be aware that the lift will now be marketed as a Dannmar product.

But I want one,.........NOW !![]()
: hehe !

..Shouldn't there be some flat washers installed under those bolt heads ?......H

Washers are meant to transfer the load out over a weaker surface. The plates under the bolts here would be more than strong enough!

Agreed with the spreading of the load, but in an installation with a hex fastener, I would use a washer to protect the steel surface from the wrench/socket and the hex flates from digging into the base metal. I always use a washer on the dynamic (turning side) of the fastener and most of the time on the static side if it is a bolt/nut combo.
You will find that in more permanant installation of bolts/nuts that they don't use washers, like a bridge or a building, but this thing is going together on a weekly basis, otherwise they would buy a permanant 2 post lift.
I once screwed up a set of heads on a small block chevy on the lower set of bolts when the flats dug in on the casting and broke out the base metal.
Just my 2 cents...
So is there a real group purchase going, or was that a wish on someones part?
Just got a generic email from Danmar...Here's the link that was provided in the email.

Actually, bridge bolts do require the use of hardened washers under the turned element, whether it is the bolt or nut.
Jeff, why did your guys not design the lift higher? So that one could stand up under a vehicle.
I'm not trying to bad mouth the Max Jax lift or anything but do these testimonials seem fake to anyone else? "Omar's" testimonial seems really over the top. Look at page 6 and 7 in this:http://www.maxjaxusa.com/downloads/maxjax-garage-lift.pdf
I really like the lift and I already signed up to buy one, I'm just curious what others think.
The group buy is on and there's only 9 left at the special pricing, which is friggin great! $1500.00 delivered! Garage Equipment Supply Inc. (www.gesusa.com) is the distributor. If you want one, call Marco immediately at 800-261-7729 ext. 125 and put down your deposit. Drop Jeff Kritzer's name and tell him you're a forum member to get this price.
Thanks a bunch Jeff!
