I am finally getting work done on my 30 x 42 garage.
The garage will be for parking cars, but will also be used quite a bit as a car workshop.
The guys are going to pour 4,000 psi concrete with fibre, what sealer / coating do you recommend?
Do I get the concrete power trowelled, maybe sealed sounds a bad idea.
Suggestions?

May I suggest Wolverine Coatings epoxy system?

That would be for an indoor floor, for floors with UV exposure you might want to use EnduraShield 2254 as the clear coat instead of the BondTite 1101, EnduraShield 2254 will also give you the extra benefits of curing crystal clear in addition to being harder and more durable than BondTite 1101.

If you opt for an epoxy coating, spec a light broom finish and no sealer!

PM me your email address and I'll send you more product info.

I'm kind of in the same boat. Will soon be pouring the floor in my new 28x34 garage, and I'd sure like to coat it with something before I start using it

Wait at least 28 days and if colder climate, maybe a week or two more for safe measure.

Even though you want it done yesterday, maybe its a good idea to wait a full year or at least a full freeze thaw cycle in order for all your settling and cracks to occur.

This way you won't develop hairline cracks that can eventually allow moisture to penetrate it and cause failure.

I know its not a popular concept, especially for manufacturers and distributors but it would be ideal for you.

Prepping or installation of any system will not cost more a year down the road.

I just did my garage with epoxy-coat it was a 25x30 foot garage. It turned out great, I would highly recommend this brand. The customer service was top notch and the product application wasn't hard for a total novice like myself.
Time will tell how it hold up, I have a feeling it should be fine since I diamond ground the floor to ensure a good bond. Justin

. I gotta like...
.. Colored cement, lower costs, through-out color, less down the road maintenance, do it once.
