Speaking of shop dogs... I need ideas for a name!!

This is fun. I want to throw in the name "REO" like the big, tough truck. I always wanted a boxer named REO. I now have a 9 year old boxer, "Marcel" after Marcel Ledbetter of the Jerry Clower fame. REO is easy to say and is fitting for a big dog. Keep us posted on what you do.....TIM

what would you consider a complete socket set (1/4, 3/8, 1/2 drive)

Universals come in both 6&12 pt., standard and deep well, chrome and impact. Don't forget all the impacts if you use air tools. Might need a few 8 pt. sockets, special plug sockets and with torx and allen wrench sockets. If you had all the sockets that you needed on a tool cart probably the...

I never have seen the Williams extension with the kneraled grip like you have. That torque wrench looks like a contraption that I wouldn't trust. Interesting stuff.

    hand impact driver

I bought mine used about 40 years ago and don't recall the name brand but it still will get the job done without rounding out the point of a Phillips head screw. It is really a time saver and worth having. Getcha One.

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

Hey Justinmc, That snap on box looks like a case box for a valve seat grinder tools. Different size and angle grinding stones would fix up top and the lower part with the holes could be for the pilots that fit different size valve guides. I have a SO box very simular to yours and that is what...

    Sargent Whatzit

I'm not sure, but I want to throw in a guess. Anybody that installed seat covers in an upostery shop recognize these pliers as the horseshoe wire crimper used to fasten down seat covers. Easterwood or J.C. Whitney may have them cataloged.

    Compathan hammers..

I got four new from SO in the mid-80's and they are Blue-Point. All four are turning white and cracking apart, even though they were used little. The SO man now says he can't do anything about it; the Blue-Point warranty was only good for one year. The man I bought from retired and died.

    Best air hose - ?

I get good wear from both red and yellow "Goodyear's" hoses. I'm not big on their tires, but hoses, they are tough.
