You could draw a piece of sheet over a form fairly easily to make that if you want to turn your hand to some sheet metal work. Plenty of resources on YouTube to show you how if you aren’t familiar

Rereading your post.. maybe something similar to a hydraulic tube clamp would work. https://www.hydraulink.com.au/products/product-catalogue/family/?id=503e4524-e73a-43de-a2bb-4d97218e6671

Gripples are tension devices. Are you trying to pull the line tight? If so something like a hoisting sock might work, although for 6mm air line you might have to make one, smallest ones I have used barely pull up on cable that’s 10mm diameter. What’s the job? More information brings more...

Quiet, Smaller Oil lube Air Compressor

My oil less has been doing the things for 7yrs, only issue so far is one of the air filters vibrated off once. Being a triple it’s not what I’d call whisper quiet but it’s nowhere near as noisy as a direct or belt drive. The smaller ones are quieter again.

    Grinding bolts below concrete surface

Put a steel disc on and get on with the job. Lots of really great suggestions above for turning a straightforward job into an epic. If you really want to get **** about it get a Kango and chip the concrete away to remove the entire fastener.

    Show your new tool arrivals

Those Press Master tools are pretty good, I have the same one at work, although I only bought coax and network dies for it. I thought about the auto crimp dies for it but I use them a lot so decided to stick with my long handled crescent.

I have no idea how it’s possible to produce a die grinder and retail it Australia for $8.25 but I bought it anyway. I figure if I get more than the four minutes of run time I’ve already had out of it I’m in front

Convert 1/4 BSP to 1/4 NPT

I would still adapt it but that’s just me having a dislike for rough enough is good enough type work but different people have different levels of acceptable. The take out for me is I really need to stop reading this forum on my phone without my glasses. This getting old thing *****.

Convert 1/4 BSP to 1/4 NPT

The line is carrying a flammable gas, spend the few dollars to get an appropriate adapter. The small cost and time inconvenience isn’t really worth the consequence of the ‘fit we up’ approaches being suggested.

Convert 1/4 BSP to 1/4 NPT

1/4 BSP is 19tpi 1/4 NPT is 18tpi. Attempting to chase it to achieve the correct included angle will ruin the fitting as the number of threads per inch is different. Any decent hydraulic supplier should be able to supply an adapter, or you can make one using off the shelf fittings if bulk/space...

thoughts on a simple machine job

If you use a lathe give yourself a sporting chance of not grenading the tooling and cut the plate to something equating a circle before chucking it. Starting square you will have almost 2” to knock off each corner as an interrupted cut. If you want it made from aluminium you could do it...
